Pulled from the DOD site...
Tips & Tricks
Each EQ stage can be overdriven. If you dial in a frequency and then dime the level, that frequency will distort. You can then use the early travel of the Gain control to fine tune the overall distortion.
The Depth knob controls the amount of low-frequency information that is allowed into the circuit - So it acts as a "tight" control. As you turn the knob clockwise, it reduces the amount of lows. This helps to reduce "flabbiness" that can occur with distorted low frequencies, especially on an already overdriven channel.

Still havent gotten mine. I understand the situation and why it isnt here but at this point, ive ordered a guitar thats going to arrive before the boneshaker does, so most likely im just going to cancel my order.
Sucks.

Re: DOD/Black Arts Toneworks Boneshaker Distortion
I still prefer the clipping options/nature of The Elements. The way it clips allows for greater definition than the Boneshaker and that works better for what I do. But the Boneshaker's EQ really is a lot more flexible.
The range and depth of each eq control is wide enough that it goes outside the useability range. There isn't a setting on The Elements where I'd plug in and think the tone was awful, but those areas definitely exist on the Boneshaker. I feel like that is a really cool thing. The low goes well below the frequencies that make a difference for anything I play, and the midrange frequency range is NUTS. I just wish the high end went higher, but it already goes much higher than anything else I've used (outside of the yr4545).
So, I'm a big fan of both. I'm definitely going to keep the Elements on my pedalboard, but I am very happy pairing this with my Dwarfcraft ILFSS fuzz for synth stuff.

+1. I find that with my bass, I actually find it has the most low-end with the low freq knob almost fully clockwise. If I turn it down counterclockwise I seem to lose bass, which seems counterintuitive. I'm liking the Boneshaker, although I don't think it's the best thing since sliced bread. Decidedly average was my initial impression and that still stands.01010111 wrote:The low goes well below the frequencies that make a difference for anything I play, and the midrange frequency range is NUTS. Rest easy then, because there is nothing that would have caused that to happen.jwar wrote: Kind of sucks that I may have caused someone else not to get theirs.![]()

Re: DOD/Black Arts Toneworks Boneshaker Distortion
I noticed the same thing, even on guitar. Probably just that some of those frequencies are so low that boosting them doesn't do much for the fundamentals of the notes we're playing. I found my OCD fuller sounding, but was able to match it by going to to the highest bass frequency. This also made things sort of muddy.BossMann73 wrote:+1.
