After nearly purchasing several amps, the Mrs and I decided this isn't the time to buy a new amp, especially when it would be admittedly just "good enough to scratch an itch" and not something really awesome. Question is, is it worth getting a radial splitter or something like that to run my Micro Terror and Fender Frontman together? Both are pretty close to the tones I want, Micro a little too dirty and Fender a little too clean. They might be awesome together, just a bummer that it takes an $90 pedal to try it out.

Definitely try that, but instead of a Radial I'd suggest any cheap Ibanez 10-series pedal with a stereo out.

I tried using my TC Alter Ego which has stereo outs but the hum was crazy. Don't I need the ground lift options and junk like that to make it all quiet?

Maybe? I've never had that problem, and the TC10 I use as a stereo split is powered by daisy chain.

omfg guys, I'm really considering buying modular synths for a couple weeks now. I was kinda disappointed by Youtube demos and videos of modular synths, SINCE NOW ! holy shit have you guys watched ''r beny's '' videos !? They're amazing! I'm buying a Mother32 (and more stuff later) as soon as I sell my DRRI (and buy a vox)!

It might be something that depends on everything, like quality of wiring in the walls, amps being used, effects beforehand, stuff like that. Either way I need something other than the TC to do the splitting, but I will take your advice and do it :thumb:

JTurbide--yeah, absolutely--he posts on muffwiggler--it's impressive to me how seamless his stuff is whether electribe, eurorack, what have you, he always sounds like himself, and he's got a great sense of pacing and architecture w/in his ambient sphere. I'm sure he's sold many a Rings by now.

PeteeBee--the Radial box *is* very nice, but I bet the EHX Switchblade Plus--44.50 USD.... :idk:

I would recommend thereisonlyfuzz on IG as well. He incorporates guitar, lapsteel and bass with modular. Very interesting!

You could also use the Boss LS-2, or a Boss CEB-3 (chorus with 2 outs, one can be clean and one will be effected, a little bit of chorus will give you the illusion of separation). There are tons of other cheap pedals with dual outs. They are everywhere.

I got the 5 watt.
It sounds pretty good. I don't think I like the speaker.
I read a lot of reviews of the screws pulling out of the baffle and the finish being messed up. Mine's fine, though. Maybe even a little sturdier than I expected.
