Ah crap, that doesn't instill me with confidence. They sent mine without the replacement parts..... but said they'd send the replacements free of charge afterwards. I asked that the replacements be sent with only the value of the components so I don't get stung for 2 massive customs charges. I can't deal I must've paid well in excess of £400 in customs over the past 6 months, the UK is getting worse and worse for for anything even remotely boutique.

Sadly my voltage memory CV output 1 is not working..... but the CV1 knob is working for other functions like selecting sequencer type etc. The guy I bought it off wants me to try a firmware upgrade, fingers crossed! I looked inside and the 3 pcbs are soldered together via those multi (12) pin connectors so taking it apart to troubleshoot if that doesn't work is going to be INSANE. :picard:

Yeah, i just heard back and he's sending out more toggles and the correct value resistors. I've been waiting to get started building these damn things for a month now

Customs charges really suck, hope they sent you the right parts :erm: A VM with nana's is soooo tempting. That sucks you're having trouble, hope you're able to troubleshoot it. Meng Qi has always been real responsive when I've had questions so you might email him if you hit a roadblock.

Trying out a couple new toys. Loaned my buddy's flanger. Meh. Also not totally sold on the daydream delay yet. And I'll obviously move the power supply underneath the board and add another delay and/or reverb. Ideally an avalanche run, but I'm broke and stinchy and my wife's watching me like a fucking hawk

The blue one next to the tuner is a sweeeet harmonic percolator clone.

Also...If I had know sooner that the PS-3 does a decent chorus, I'd gotten one a lot sooner :)

V, the guitar is made from parts, but I bought it as is. 90's MIJ body, stripped, then stained (it looks even better in person, and is going to wear down easily since there is no clear coat); All Parts neck (which is perfectly chunky but not a baseball bat); supposedly american hardware, mustang bridge; SD pickups, vintage neck, hot bridge. As I said before, I think I wanna throw some alumitone singles in there and slap some flatwounds on it. I want it sounding smoooth. Also have plans to switch up the electronics, buying myself a soldering iron and necessary parts once I become gainfully employed again
Sweet looking jag indeed. Mine's 25.5 scale. I dig everything about jaguars, except the shorter scale lenght :idk:

Awesome jag! I've always wanted a 25.5 scale jag. How did you make it?

Bought a body and pickguard from someone at offsetguitars.com a couple years ago. Drilled, routed, ready to assemble. Finished it with walnut stain and couple clear coats using a nitro paint spray can. I went for the Elvis Costella type of jazzmaster look, but it came out a bit more rough/sloppy. Still cool though imo.

Bought the jazzmaster neck online, it's a quality vintage style non-fender replica, don't remember the exact site/shop. Everyhing else came from a georgious '90s fender jaguar I butchered to use as a donor. Got it used, dirt cheap, and it came with a fender hardcase. The seller wasn't even aware that the original owner intalled a mustang bridge, and replaced the pup's with seympur duncans :)

Fucked up the wiring somewhere though. Decided to give up and take it to a guitar tech :idk:

thinking about how the Blue FM inputs are also oscillator outputs on the Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrax got me to patching itself into hyper-chaos and sending the Blues to FM and modulate the various modules on Plumbutter 2. Quite a nice discovery, much slower modulations are possible from the Blues....even pronounced when its in this chaotic state fluctuating on its own between noise and pitch.
edit: checked the Red and Blue outputs on my euroscope and the Blue are an attenuated squared version of the Red. neat :joy:

discovered stacking the pulse and gate outputs of the MWTRS to FM Gongues or AVDogs is a very good thing.

Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrax oscillator clocking Lorre-Mill Double Knot, with 2 Meng Qi Arcade Manifolds routing/etc some of the Double Knots CV Outs to its various Ins. Also mixed in a couple oscillators from the Tetrax through the Arcade Manifolds. Patched a barre to modulate the clock. Used one channel of an Arcade Manifold to convert the banana out from the Tetrax into a 3.5mm for the Double Knot's main clock input.

:!!!:
Were you able to get the VM working properly? oh man, i'm so tempted to get one. If it could be powered by a 9v battery i'd be all over it, then I discovered it can be powered via USB....now I wonder if I could power it from my Iphone/pad with some kind of adaptor? I'm all about biking into the woods with the Ciat/Tocante for jam sessions.

Yeah I had to de-solder an SMD DAC and put another one on. It was the most difficult bit of soldering work I've ever done, and looks a complete fucking mess, but it worked. I now have all 6 CV outputs working properly. It is a fantastic companion to CL for sure. You need to keep the manual on hand for a good while as different knob positions in auto mode unlocks different modes/behaviours to the sequencer (sequencing, looping, pressure sensitivity, arpeggiating, internal/external clocking etc)
You can power the arduino board inside via a USB which you use to update the firmware. Not sure if that actually power the entire device though? I can try it out if you like?

glad to hear you got it fixed :thumb: yeah if you could confirm that USB power works that would be great, I think everything but the GATE output can be powered off USB.

Have you tried patching OUT of the Double Knot into the Glitch or FM inputs on tetrax/sidrax? Curious if you can add a rhythmic quality to them that way.

Yeah, its worth experimenting with. You can get pitch sequencing this way too :joy: For instance, just focusing on one Tetrax Oscillator, patching the R2R into FM and a register Out into Glitch and monitoring from the RED output you'll have a little melody going :animal: Then patch other register Outs into the Main Pitch inputs.... :excellent: I was messing around with this last night running all four Tetrax RED into Arcade Manifolds, mixing them all to one channel to monitor. Was nuts.
