Re: 4046-M
Hey everyone
Sorry I haven't replied on here in awhile, I got screwed with the last batch of PCB's from the manufacturer, they were being faulty so I finally got my replacements and I'm working hard to get things built. Sorry for the wait and I really appreciate everyone being patient!

I don't know if it's possible to cosign just how awesome Andrew has been w/r/t customer service in this regard. Take all the superlatives you can think of, then say them all twice.

Black 4046-m is killing it. I think my second one wasn't working properly either for the mod section because this one is craaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Re: 4046-M
What seems different? Just curious because the mod section creates some interesting sounds.
The only thing I wish the 4046M had like other pll's is the separate square wave volume. I have an elta pll clone also and that adjustment is nice to dial in more or less fuzz/square wave.

Re: 4046-M
the mod section on my second unit didn't make any changes unless the 2 knobs for it (forget their labels/names) were at 9 o clock or higher. And when they did make changes the 3 modes per mod effect weren't that different from each other. The new one has clear differences between modes. Arp mode is almost always the one I use though! Ring mod can be cool, pretty much never use the bitcrush one, but I figure that's something to me rediscover the unit with in months to come.

I mean theoretically I could. But I don't. It's a bit of a hassle because my accountant is braindead about certain things plus it's just a waste of time PLUS more danger if it crosses the ocean twice

Re: 4046-M
So I bought one of these new and it just arrived today. Truly awesome pedal. Gnarliest thing I known. Have a couple of questions though:
I noticed that there's still output from the modulater (whether it's plugged into the normal input or modulator input) when it's bypassed i.e. there's noise coming from it that changes depending on what the modulator settings are.
Is this normal? I have a true-bypass looper, so it's not so much of a problem. But if I didn't it would be an issue, as I wouldn't be able to cut it out of my signal chain and it'd be forever colouring my signal even when it's off.
I also noticed that there's no signal if I'm plugged directly into the modulator input and I bypass the device. Also normal? Or should there be a bypassed signal? Likewise, there's also no signal when i'm plugged into regular input and using the synth-only output. Again I've got a loop switcher anyways, so I'm able to use that to switch between mod-only/synth-only and bypass.
Just lemme know if either of these things are supposed to come with the territory.

Re: 4046-M
I'm not sure about the modulator noise on bypass but the other 2 things are normal.
The bypass switch only works when you're using it in 'normal' setup.
If I remember next time I'm playing with mine, I will check for modulation noise in bypass.
