I know zilch about drum machine programming and all the demos of that guy seem to be for disco raves, does anyone know if that can do a decent simple rock beat?

if you program it to, of course. it won't sound like a live drum kit though.

I sold a few of these on Reverb and never had a complaint. "Works great" was the only feedback I got. ---I never played them myself, but when you consider that people are paying $200 for trashy vintage organ drum machines with loads of static in the signal, it's kind of hard to determine what's fair market on an analog drum machine.

That's really tempting -- too bad all the demos are so vanilla.

Every now and then you'll see a Bi-Phase in the $700-$850 range. Between 2002 and 2004 they were probably around $550-$675. Then people started asking $1200...$1400...$1800.

Part of the huge price swings is because some guy will get $1500+ for a museum piece with factory swag. Then the next goober comes along and asks for a comparable price, despite his unit not being anywhere near as desirable. Then suddenly everyone has joined the inflation bandwagon. It's such a small niche, that one out-of-control bidding war can drive up prices for years.

I am guilty of this.

I own X pedal. I'll never be able to afford another one or be able to replace it with the prices they're going for. I may not be using it that much, but I'll put it up on reverb for a super high price and if someone snags it, great. If not, i still have it.
