Fix my Yamaha GT-100. Get a cheap synth or two. Pure Data all the things. Microcontroller all the things.

VIDEO SYNTHESIS is definitely number one, number two is learn to solder.

Re: 2017 gear goals?
For me it's less gear, more shows and traveling. Just be more a part of the real world things I love in general. I'd love to have a multi-month period where I don't buy any guitar*. I don't think I've done that in years!rickenbastard wrote:Yeah I hear that, I have a lot of travel plans too. I'm not good at saving moneypopvulture wrote:

Edit: guitar stuff. I only have a couple guitars, but I always buy other guitar related things like pedals and cables and junk.

Exactly. This is why I have like 20 guitars but haven't traveled in like 20 years. Womp womp.PeteeBee wrote:For me it's less gear, more shows and traveling. Re: 2017 gear goals?
I'm in a constant juggle with my spending. For all the gear I buy I pretty much spend the same in travel, shows and band shirts. Life is for living, money is for spending hahaPeteeBee wrote:For me it's less gear, more shows and traveling. Just be more a part of the real world things I love in general. - Score an ES-335-ish geetar
- Hunt down a PS-3
- Build myself an FM-1 clone
- Have my Traynor YBA-1 modded so it's useable at home. 1/4 power switch in the back, for hardly more scratch than what a stinkin attenuator would cost.

Re: 2017 gear goals?
General:
More studio upgrades (a proper desk would be a killer start)
Become a full-on CV/MIDI sync-master
(sub-point: build a my own CV utility devices)
Specific:
Volca Sample
Gen Loss (already pre-ordered)
Dream Reaper (already pre-ordered)
Super Wizard
Get my No Memory etched
Eventide Mixing Link/nice horn microphone for the band I play sax in
Not new GAS, but my permanent watch-list are a Poly-Grace (srsly, sell me yours - I will pay you any dollar amount/my soul) and a 4046-M.
Avoid:
Buying every pedal/synth Knobs demos (seriously, everything I buy either already has or shortly thereafter receives a Knobs demo)
Crippling debt

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)
I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Re: 2017 gear goals?
For 2017... I'll try to save for a new guitar. A solide body guitar with a humbucker (splitable) in the bridge position and a P90 in the neck would be awesome.
As for the pedal... the new Fairfield Circuitry (tape/vibrato stuff) and maybe some kind of bit crusher.
Not a lot of pedals for 2017 (guitar will be the main goal).

Re: 2017 gear goals?
I'm sure there's a thread about it somewhere, but have you ever looked into a Staytrem?resincum wrote:oh yeah need a mastery bridge ASAP.
I was hungry for a Mastery, but got a Staytrem instead at a little more than half the cost. I've literally never had to think about my bridge since then, so I think it works pretty well.

I also think I failed to meet a single one of my 2016 goals, so, all of those as well, whatever they were.odontophobia wrote:Hoard more, flip less.

Re: 2017 gear goals?
I want to "complete" my board. It's a little empty at the moment and I can't quite do what I want with it yet. Here's what I think I want:
Boss LS-2
Southampton Fifth Gear
Southampton Boosted Fuzz
Moog MF-101
Boss PH-3
Earthquaker Dispatch Master
Also, more patch cables.

Re: 2017 gear goals?
My gear goal is to actually have a rig again. :/ between family deaths and moving cross country I am a step away from economic meltdown. Luckily my finances are starting to stabilized, so I can hope start putting cents on my savings account to slowly recoup.
