i really love it! I've read online some people say Eastwood guitars are hit or miss quality wise...but i've got a couple different models from them that I ordered sight unseen and they all turned out to be really really fine instruments. fit and finish are better than I'd expect at the price range. the neck is kinda small and the string spacing might take a second to get used to, but its quite comfy after you've spent some time with it. if you play a variety of stringed instruments you'll take to it no problem. the pickups are maybe a little hot, but that seems to be the trend...they take dirt great and I've never thought to swap them. actually I've been contemplating picking up the two pickup model :excellent:

good. very good. i've played an old silvertone baritone for ages and the fender was a nice update. they really knocked it out of the park. I was never really a fan of the other "blacktop" or whatever the series is called but the baritone is a winner. I am gonna get around to swapping out the pups though, thinking some underwound for a brighter sound..is that right? haha. those plans haven't gone anywhere cause really the stock pups sound fine.

I've got the two pickup and I like mine a lot, too. I thought the bridge pickup was kind of flat so I swapped it with something from GFS. Now I'm not really happy with the neck pickup so I'm thinking of swapping that one, too.
But it's such a fun instrument. I've got mine tuned in fifths and I feel like I can just go crazy on it in a way I never do on a 6-string tuned standard.

I like CGDA, CGCG, but usually stick to GDAE with 42-30-20-13 gauge strings, i think.

on second thought it was the Warren Ellis Tenor Baritone that's been tempting me

this was good, was messing around with Ring Stinger(RS) in the f/x loop of Meatball(MB) into Knas. Then got experimental and sent the VCO out from the RS to the main IN on MB. Hooked up MB f/x Send to RS Carrier IN, and RS main OUT to MB f/x RETURN. Then hooked MB into the Knas, with Knas LFO out into MB Pedal 2 input. Then for shits and giggles Phashi to RS main IN, and Bistab and/or Thyris into RS VCO CV and/or LFO Depth     :excellent:

Aren't they by design supposed to be tuned in fifths ? That was a requirement for the instrument as Warren Ellis is primarily a violin player...
I'm gasing over the baritone one, but I have a newborn at home and not enough time to make music anyway these days ;)

running oscillators from Tetrax into Meatball with Ring Stinger in f/x loop, another oscillator from Tetrax to Carrier In > Doppleganger > Wobulator stereo out to Cocoquantus. Koma Kommanders and Expression pedals abound.

65 avri Jaguar and fun with Pittsburgh Modular Patch Box
Make Noise Phonogene is the main attraction, using PGH Envelope follower and SSF Ultra-Random as modulation. Patch Box has multiples and lets you patch into the two Stomp Switches so you can turn on/off modulation sources as you please. Ultra random self patched and a Knas Moisturizer is also modulating and being modulated by the Patch Box.

ooooof. this was too too good. the ciat-lonbarde cocoquantus has 2 stereo inputs that send left/right signal to its own delay/looper. I hooked up two Microgranny using stereo cables :animal: plugged bare banana jacks to make gestural patches

been feeling really inspired lately :!!!:

this day is off to a great start. patched a ciat-lonbarde tetrax organ's four oscillators to fm one another and then sent those oscillators out to cross modulate with a moogerfooger freqbox that's fed into a ring mod. :excellent: :excellent: i do believe I'll be spending a lot of time expanding on this foundation

guess i found a new drug...sorry psilocybin

of note, was using the phaser as "end of line" with its Aux and Main outs to headphone amp for that good times phased out stereo fun..then decided to send its Aux out through the delay..which has the ring mod in the f/x loop...thus using the phaser and delayed out of phase signal as the main left/right output channels....or something  :excellent:
