Keep talkin', Syl.
Tell 'em what else you're lookin' for in a fuzz with low end.
I think the Pharaoh's a good choice (even thought it's a Muff).

I'd say like a buzzz will probably get you there. Maybe a doom bloom. A modified fuzz face of sorts, like a TAFM.
My suggestion for muff is a blunderbuss. I've never heard the metallic sound you talk about, but my ears are as musical as microsoft sam's

No shit? Don't even remember where I got that idea, but I always though it was a parametric eq

TAFM and Buzzz are the stuff for sure.
The Great Destroyer/Surrender Dorothy. So heavy.
Mountainking stuff? Heavy Machine seems to be the business. (Never tried dis though)

Have the Buzzz. Can confirm it brings the unruly. Plus octave/mids (ON A SWITCH).
You may be surprised what adding the mids back in will do for your sound.
Also: Black Arts stuff all brings the LOW LOW LOW. Basically can't go wrong but lots of Muff based stuff.

I was thinking this too.
Behemoth II probably maybe isn't quite fuzzy enough.

I had a bad experience with Mountainking in the past.
Heavy Machine seems cool... but.

And I will continue recommending the Buzzz until everybody on earth has one.
I play guitar.
Something with a good EQ.
Well, I use both with guitar as well, but I don't get to emphasise the low-end all that much, but it's useful to have it there.
The Fuzz War has a mental tone control. Incredibly versatile, even just in the first half of its sweep.

Please define "metallic." Do you mean heavy metal music, or is this a textural reference, as in a metallic clanging sound? Either way, I'm guessing the EQ of the Mountainking Megalith can be set pretty thick, woofy, and smooth with no crunch whatsoever (or at least it can on the Satellite Effects Megalith clone I've tried).
