Hi guys. Haven't had much time to devote to my Memory Loss, but I will sometime during the week. Meanwhile, Rhys wasn't sure about the current draw (!)... Do you guys know how much power it requires? My guess would be about 60 mA, but it might be more...

I don't know. Just give it as much as you can and see if it makes any difference. It will only draw what it needs anyways. Both the Memory Loss and Kompakt Kassette are less troublesome when powered by isolated power supplies (no one-spots or daisy chaining), so make sure you do that.

Yeah and my KK wouldn't work properly on 100mA (was very weird and noisy in a not so great way). On 300mA it worked great though. I think draw was quoted at under 100 though although I may have made that up.

The chips may need a high ma when turning on and then the current draw will be less in use (maxon has a similar thing, but it has to do with switching/they want 2000ma upon start up). I've always used mine on the 100ma and 200ma just fine, but it could also mean that some 100ma isolated outputs put out slightly less than they are rated (like 85ma). Also, with rhys' pedals, I assume current draw varies for pedal to pedal. Probably just keep them above 100ma on an isolated supply and they should be fine.

There is some grounding and antenna tricks in some of them too, so that will make them noisy. Just gotta roll with it at some point haha. Get into a more circuit bent mentality.

Also, most of his pedals are digital, so there is some noise and no filtering or anything. Try lots of different outlets and surge protectors too (I have some outlets in my house that are unusable with most of my pedals).

Today I had it on a 200 ma isolated output. I had set a great fuzz tone. I stomped it off, and when I stepped on it again nothing was happening... Turning all knobs didn't do a thing. Then it came back a bit. This really is a strange pedal. Have you ever experienced that? When you hit the switch you don't find the sound as you left it? (Eventhough you're playing/sending the same stuff ?)

It is painful for me to say as I love Seppuku but...those paint designs...I am so glad I got TOM SLIME before the current incarnation as the MOD CHOP. I am so happy I had my SEPPUKU purchasing spree when I did cause I love the paint jobs (or lack there of) on my stuff.

So here's the beast! Perfect looks.
Unnamed knob 1 is gain (really soft until you hit 3 o'clock), unnamed 2 is feedback.
First toggle (between these two) changes the decay of the feedback. 2nd toggle switches between kassette/memory loss functions (it's subtle, that's no 2pedals in one).
Green soft switch: whatever the settings, stomping on this gives you a full dry signal with a very short delay (almost a verb). Gorgeous sound, but you cant spend 3 minutes with your foot glued to the thing). Upon release, there's a 3 second apocalypse, as if the chip had been held down for too long.
On this one, Glitch is data (coz apparently it differs depending on versions). Turning the clock knob brings out big sways of pitch shift, but doesn't really work as delay time (or I still haven't figured out yet how to achieve that). I' m starting to get a better grasp of the functions.
UC, I've been watching a few of your vids again, and it seems to me that you're using yours (the horizontal one) as a delay (with crazy functions in addition to that of course). You dont seem to be paying much attention to your volume/compression or whatever. Just stomp on the box and you have a delay.
Mine doesn't work like that at all. I cant start from a "normal use" to reach insane sounds. It's insane right away.
So I'm still wondering... are they all different or does it take a lot of time to get to know the pedal... I'll be experimenting, coz I already love what I'm hearing. I just need to tame it (a little).
