This looks really tasty. Thank you. I'm gonna have to try to find some.untilshewokeme wrote:'Gansett is my "low brow" beer of choice but I must say their new Allie's Donut Double Chocolate Porter is really good. Nice little dessert beer. Lots of flavor.

Dare I say, best porter I've tried. Love the bitterness of the coffee and dark chocolate, hate overly sweet beers.

I've lost my SN Hop Hunter IPA kick. Rediscovered my new favourite daily beer.

Anyone have Arrogant Bastard ale (?) before? Made by the same dudes that do Stone IPA with the Beelzebub on it (Which I like).

It's really good. One of my favorite beers that I can actually get around here.

I get confused about which Arrogant Bastard I enjoyed more, there's like fifty different versions and somehow i've actually been able to try all of them.

Costco has a gift pack with 4 different ones right now.BitchPudding wrote:Sweet, gotta try it. Nice avatar btw.
The Double is a little more syrup/caramel, the Oaked is cool if you like that, they have another one too now.
I actually prefer the original. Their Imperial Stout is ok. Stone IPA is when that is the best thing the bar has...for a brewery with great coverage and distro, they are pretty good (a lot of their limited "joint" or specail brews can fall short, but a few have been great).
Speedway Stout is my current favorite since Rogue changed the Shakespeare stout...
Rogue has been doing so terrible ales lately too. Mother Earth's Stout is pretty good too (I think it is a peanut oatmeal stout...).

I hope the double IPA boom is like the doom revival and never stops being easy to find.

Re: THE BEER THREAD(?)----->!!!

I'm not a big Barleywine fan but it's rare down here and I was given it by a friend. It was really sweet but not boozy at all, but the sweetness was almost unbearable at the end.

And this seasonal was finally released this week. Not sure how far out of CT this gets but it's an amazing imperial stout. It's dangerously smooth with a bit of coffee, a bit of chocolate and a hint of caramel.

Finally was able to get a hold of On the Wings of Armageddon. The only place that get it around my house only gets 1 case per year. Shit is pretty tasty too.
