Boring thread about power supplies

Post by fcknoise »

Hey gang

Maybe this isn't worth starting a new thread over, but I have searched for a good power supply for my pedalboard and I only find 2 outlet solutions so far. Requirements are:

Timebender (about 800mA 9v AC)
Two eventides, need at least 400mA 9v DC each
El capistan, min 250mA 9v DC
CT5 150mA
then like power for 4 dirt pedals but that shouldn't be hard

It's like I need something freaking huge but I don't have that many pedals, which is annoying. Does anyone know anything that might be able to power all of this?

Okay, the minute after finishing this thread I switched my searching tactics from frantic googling to hitting up thomann and searching there. Truetone one spot pro has like the perfect requirements and it's half the price of the only other option that would've worked but that was total overkill. yay

Wouldn't the Strymon Ojai be exactly what you're looking for?

Edit: misread second post, thought you were still looking. Walking away with head hung in shame.

Looks like the 1Spot Pro was made with the Timebender in mind.

I use the VL 4X4 with two Eventides, but it has no AC. :/

I'm tempted to get a 1 Spot Pro CS12 but I'm holding out for Strymon's Zuma. Curious about how well the noise isolation is on the 1 Spot. Anybody else have a 1 Spot Pro that can chime in?

so. that?
I was looping at the AC10, and the other options from cioks first but it frustratingly has just too little total output to power it all, and then i was back to ojai+Timebender on its own Wall wart. The only other thing that could power everything was the ciokolate and thats more than i paid for any pedal haha

1 each of the orig Cioks Link series (not including the Adam) should do it. Plus you can add a mains outlet on whichever is last in the chain.

Edit: Or you could budget and just go AC Rider + Big John...with some of the double jack cables for the lower draw pedals

Wondering this too. And vidret, you said the 1spot has bleed. I suppose you mean the daisy chain wall wary thing right? Please mean that or I'll be mad at u

This is actually a very plausible option. Thanks dude!

Sure thing :thumb:
What I especially like about that modular approach is the flexibility to split them apart for multiple boards :snax:
Just gotta make sure you have the necessary cables.

Plus the fact that I will probably change what's on the board quite a bit, and this way I can change stuff up. Been thinking about a separate bass board too :thumb:
