Re: UG demos MWFX Wooden vs Big Metal Judder

Post by Uncle Grandfather »

Hey, well ain't the Judder just the best? here is a listen to an older MWFX Wooden Judder with the Big Metal Judder. The Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrax outputs a stereo signal with the signal from pressing on the barres on one channel, and the signal from releasing the barres on the other. So, here I've got the Wooden Judder on the press gesture, and Big Metal on the release. Using a Montreal Assembly fewtility one to mix em together.

:!!!: be sure to experiment with different conductive materials, I like holding a tocante a couple inches from my face and breathing/blowing onto it...just beautiful how multiple tones blend together and all that awesome goings on as different notes sustain while others slowly die off etc. I've been messing around with moisture a lot, using an oscillating fan to blow steam over multiple tocante  Also you can plug another audio source into the tocante and it will be amplified too. And plug a power supply into the tocante but don't plug it into the wall is another type of response from it. Have fun :thumb:

Will do. Does the tetrax play well cross patched with the flower electronics stuff btw? Always been curious about that.

yeah, i don't know that it's 100% safe for the circuit's but everything works like you would expect patching the lbb into the tetrax. maybe fm and grey jacks are most obvious results, but green does weird stuff too. 99% sure the press/release jacks don't take a signal, and patching those straight to the lbb doesn't do much like you would expect...you get a high pitched whine and not much response. But when you patch those through the lbb's preamp then into the modulation you can go ape playing the lbb with a barre. Same thing patching the tetrax oscillator out, have to go through the lbb's preamp.:idk:

Re: UG demos Metallik Resonator

Post by Uncle Grandfather »

Hey now, here is a listen to the proto Metallik Resonator. Running Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrax into it, also have a contact mic on it which I also blend in and out. Figures a plane would fly by, sounds kinda like the tetrax at that moment too

Didja ever make the one with the gong? If so, what differences do you hear between the two, which one you like better?
