Re: UG demos Skychord Cloudbuster
I wouldn't normally accuse you of making pretty sounds, but that is quite delightfully whimsical
Hmmm I'm off to find out if I can feed my thumb piano into some combination of Timebender, octave up pedal, Clarinot and probably another delay to see if I can get near this. Thanks.

be sure to record your results, or better yet record and share the whole experiment
so, i guess continuing with the pretty sounds theme, here is a listen to the Montreal Assembly count to five. OG un-upgraded version. Going through the three modes with a Karimba, match made in heaven methinks.

Re: UG demos Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus 2
Heya, here is a listen to the Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus 2 with acoustic guitar. It's a pretty incredible unit, this is a bare bones listen to one of its Coco delay units in the "normal" delay type mode, not sampling. In particular it is a listen to how the Dolby toggles affect the sound, although I also play with the speed and affec knobs.

Re: UG demos Cooper FX Generation Loss
Figure I should put this here too. From Micro Research, The Dark Interpreter Mater Tenebrarum,—Our Lady of Darkness. Playing youtube clip of Crimson and Clover through her, using patch cables instead of fingertips on the pads and getting some nice glitchy/granular/slowed down/sped up happy fun time.

So, thought you might dig this. Was messing around with my Tascam 424 four track with a short loop tape. For this I only recorded two tracks, I play the two loops at the beginning, then for either track I mess around with mixing in a Montreal Assembly Count to Five that's in the effects loop. Also mess with the pitch control and tape speed.

Re: UG demos using Tascam 424 as cassette tape looper
... and now you go all Godspeed You! Black Emperor / Set Fire To Flames on us!... that was great, not too much warp out weirdness, and plenty of tape loops from some post apocalyptic future. Thanks.

Agreed. I honestly never thought the idea of bit crushing with this pedal would be that cool, but damn there are some awesome SNES kinda tones in there.jrfox92 wrote:Damn, that warble sounds really great with the chime sounds from that kalimba.

So, that last demo was looping with a couple tracks already recorded on a loop tape on the Tascam 424, here's another listen but this time I do it all in real time and record four tracks/loops. There are really three sections I guess, first recording the loops, then messing with the mix/blending of a Montreal Assembly Count to Five in the 424's effect loop with the different tracks, and finally my favorite part where i punch in and overdub onto the loops.

Re: UG demos Seppuku FX Memory Loss with Count to Five
Hey hey, here is a listen to Seppuku FX Memory Loss into my Montreal Assembly Count to Five in mode 1. Love these two together, with acoustic guitar was getting really nice sounds and response probably thanks to the barcus-berry preamp I was using.

Re: UG demos Cooper FX Generation Loss in f/x loop of Koma B
Heya, well this turned out to be a great idea. Here's a little listen to the Cooper FX Generation Loss in the f/x loop of a Koma Elektronik BD101. I was using the BD101 as source into the FT201, but the FT201 is bypassed here. I've got the motion sensor on the BD101 patched to the delay time, and start off with just the Koma so you can hear the kinda range to it. Then turn on the Generation Loss and you can hear that nice motion it adds. I tweak the HP filter..maybe LP too cause who doesn't love sweeping filters?
