My doom-duo, 74 V4B into an Ampeg 810, and a 300w Verellen Meatsmoke (KT88s) into an Emenence Swamp Thang loaded Atlas 412.

This is a tight little setup bud! I really want a T-60, just think they look so cool. Welcome to ILF!lunchbox wrote:New member here....
I play hard/stoner rock along the lines of Clutch, Red Fang, Sabbath, etc. Here's my current rig: '79 Peavey T-60, Orange CR120, and '86 Marshall 1965A Original Classic 4x10 with Eminence Ramrods. Only pedal in my chain is a wah (Morley). I've been thinking about getting a matching 1965B to make an 8x10 full stack, but I'll need a steady band first to justify the expense.

NAD! Just picked up this old Carlsbro 100w PA Slave. Need to give it some new tubes as one is shot, but then it gets slaved to the Science Mother. I'll get some pics of them side by side when I get it to the band room.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
NAD! Traded some shit I wasn't using for this:

Much louder than I expected for 30 solid state watts--I haven't turned the master volume past 3 yet. Cleans are great, still trying to dial in a good crunch tone; the pre-amp volume pot on these notoriously does nothing between 0 and 8, and then is incredibly sensitive between 8 and 10.
Mine has the original McKenzie speaker, which I'm not super into, and since I didn't pay anything to pick this up, I'm considering investing in a new speaker. Any recommendations for something in the 50-65watt range, voiced for a British style amp? I'm looking at the WGS ET65 as well as the Veteran 30, but have never used either. I also tend to tune low, so something that can put out the low frequencies would be helpful.
I've also got new Marshall-style knobs coming--I can't stand the replacements that the former owner put on.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
traded my X260 for WORMDIRT's V-50H tonight. sounded great when he played through it at the show we met up at. cat already loves it.

edit: just finished cleaning it up and testing the tubes. nothing special but they tested like new and everything looks good. i can't wait to use this thing.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
I ended up getting it for 400 EUR shipped, probably a bit too much, but trying to find a decent tube slave is rediculuous here in Germany. Occasionally an Orange slave will pop up but then its like 1500 EUR or more. I tried researching this guy on the net and only found the wiring diagram and a couple pics of another slave 100 with a different face plate. Seems like from the serial number this guy is from somewhere around 1970. Have to wait for tubes and a tech to look it over before I can test it out. From what I can find about Carlsbro, it should be pretty fookin loud.ChetMagongalo wrote:that looks really sick, how much did you pay for it?
