I don't really have an actual dream set up. I have a dream of being able to play the bass better some day, but it's been 20 years...sooooooooooooo...yea, when's that going to happen??? ;)

I love this rig. It does so many things for so many styles of music. Fretless is harder, but sounds so much better. I had an SVT once, but it was awful for my back, and I like this GK just as much. Maybe i will have an Ampeg again. Portaflexes seem really nice.

For me, the Ric 4001 -> Super Lead/Bass rig is perfect, the only change I would make is bigger/better/more cabs. I wouldn't mind adding a Moog to the rig too.

Which moog? I run a mother 32 myself. It could be more exciting, i suppose, but i love it all the same.

Then again:

The Mother 32 is fine, although I'd probably prefer something with a built-in keyboard so I don't have to have yet another piece of kit.

Yeah, I suppose the 13-key button keyboard is rough. I am a terrible key player, so it makes little difference to me, and the moog i always had my eyes set on was the micromoog (it was affordable), which this is like a eurorack version of. it works for me.

I've got a 10" gong. First thing I do after I hit the powerball is order one of those 80" Paiste's.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

SVT is one of those :whoa: amps you'd love to own until you do & the passive aspects are realized. Moving it is a pain...and it's painful on the pocket, especially when it needs a new set of tubes  it's like the cost of a new amp!
Way too complicated for my liking. Too much power, too. I generally keep a circuit under 100, 35-50 range. Class A or AB responds how I prefer. Feel like if I ever need to go louder, more cabs with more sensitive drivers should get me there.
Fretless bass is really like a whole other instrument, encouraging different types of bends & vibrato than a fretted neck. A marked fretless was my first (and remains #1) bass/instrument. It truly influenced how I approach stringed instruments, even the fretted ones...for the better :hobbes:

And that sound

Honestly I realize what I really want and can only dream of is a place for all my shit. Where I can play my big amp, a table for the synths and shit, a space for my cello (which I can't even have right now  ), where I can have all my instruments etc etc

That and a power supply

I'm happy with my small pjb amp. So convenient. I could use a powered cab to go with it.

There's no substitute for 410's or two 410's is there but I can't anyway it wouldn't be appropriate in small space & I'm splitting to di out to subs and to house. In that scenario I don't even need amp on stage really as I've done before, but I prefer to feel and hear real bass out of my amp than aviom/headphones.

I basically have all i want. I'm too lazy to pull things apart and reorganize my shit to make it my dream setup. Also there is a computer with MIDI control involved. I think that is the main part to be lazy on my side...
