Re: The Video Game thread
I should get Firewatch but I already have so many games to play (bought and waiting for my attention) and I'm just playing Star Wars Battlefront for some weird reason (I'm not really a shooter person and I'm not really a Star Wars fan).
The fact that it can be played in a short enough time is actually a huge plus though, I'll probably end up buying it soon.

I can't get to the promo page because I'm at work, but here:
http://www.hardocp.com/news/2016/02/18/three_sega_games_for_free_on_steam
As part of its Make War Not Love campaign, SEGA is giving away Steam codes for Condemned, Streets of Rage II, and Binary Domain. I have no idea how long this promotion is going to last, so you'd better hurry if you want any or all of these games.

Closing in on the finish of The Witness. Still have the last section left, plus a shitload of environmental puzzles and hidden collectables. There's definitely a point where frustration takes over, but with patience you will figure it out and that feels so, so good. One of the most refreshing games I've played since maybe Portal.

Did you play The Talos Principle ?
If not you'd probably like it too (I still haven't finished it though, not sure why actually).

The Witness is beautiful, but somewhat frustrating. I'm torn between playing that, XCOM2, Lara Croft and Rocket League.
I spend WAYYY too much time playing RL. Over 100+ hours clocked now. It's so addicitve.
Also, did anyone play The Division Beta? I dipped in and played it for a solid 5 hours. Loved every moment of it, except it got reallllly stale with the dark zone stuff.

I'm a bit afraid of playing The Witness. I've heard some of the puzzles can involve using a pen and paper to figure stuff out. Just not sure if I want that in a video game. Would you say it gets that complicated?

I really want to play the Witness, but I want to get through Firewatch first.
Anyone playing Primal? I worked on that.

We've used pen and paper on 3-4 puzzles. I like that aspect of it, as I would have looked for just that if I were on an island full of puzzles. Working them out "irl" has been fun, imo.
Oscillateur: I haven't played The Talos Principle, but I'll definitely check it out now

I'm pretty excited about Primal. That's pretty awesome that you worked on it. It would be cool to work on something like that.
I really enjoyed Firewatch, how are you enjoying it?
I'm thinking about going to the Long Dark next. Anyone play it?

I saw a review of Firewatch that got me interested last night.
I really want to get Primal but I haven't got my new system running yet (need to find a copy of Windows 8.1, lost all my old install info. No fucking way ami getting 10).
Once I'm up and running in definitely gonna hit it.
