I used to do synth stuff, but these days I play prayer bowls percussively, and manipulate and loop them with pedals. Lately I have been getting really good results overdriving things, so I am expanding my dirt chain.
Anushri is fun! The generative drums are soooo good.Strange Tales wrote:Inc: Mutable Instruments Anushri synth. Sort of thought someone else would bid on this, but I was the only one and ended up getting this cheap.

The drums are a pretty big reason I got this, super simple beats that are perfect for the shitty IDM I want to. Also the fact that it is supposedly modeled off of a Juno 106 is why I wanted one. Going to be a fun week when it comes in.ritz wrote:Anushri is fun! The generative drums are soooo good.Strange Tales wrote:Inc: Mutable Instruments Anushri synth. Interesting. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, once installed.
I wonder if this is what an updated AD4096 would consist of?

They are adding CV options with the new AD4096 too (only in like a limited preorder run)...then there will be a third production only version that will be different from the preorder. At least that is what they told me.
That upgrade kinda came out of the blue this morning...
kinda nice I guess.

^ Will let you know once it gets here and I drag out the soldering iron.
My one beef with the 4096 is the annoying clock noise at some settings, so if that's reduced, I'm all for it. For $35 I figured I'd give it a whirl.

Thanks for posting this. The clock whistle sometimes gets annoying...definitely want to hear your opinion once you get it in.HorseyBoy wrote:

New PC mobo, processor, RAM and fancy cooling bits incoming.
Not technically for musical purposes but counts as gear because it's got me thinking about my goal of super basic home studio.

That's awesome. I use a focusrite scarlett 2i2 and some program called mixcraft for all my recording needs. Easy to understand, endless fun, super cheap!

I have been looking into the Scarlett 2i2. I think I am going to pick it open this year, hopefully.UglyCasanova wrote:That's awesome. I use a focusrite scarlett 2i2 and some program called mixcraft for all my recording needs. Easy to understand, endless fun, super cheap!
