Before the page loaded I was expecting it to be a paperplate-wrapped-in-aluminum-foil

A legit trashcan would have sounded better.

but what took the cake was CC's attempted edge and the backlash (well deserved)

I. AM. LITERALLY. IN. TEARS. and I don't mean figuratively

anyway on topic - Jwar actually said what the point of KH's tweet is to me - the pigheaded cockiness of "hurr durrr I am famous therefore I am more of an actual guitar player than all you nerdz building pedals in your mom's basement"

fuck I actually wish he was endorsed by some pedal companies and got his endorsment nullified or something

as I wrote on facebook... The first moment in years (arguably decades) when Kirk Hammet is relevant - or worth giving a damn about - is when he says something incredibly pigheaded, ignorant, and elitist. Beautiful.

The last time I cared about Kirk was the first time I watched Some Ki d Of Monster and realized he was the neglected puppy of Metallica. But also fuck Metallica, world woulda been better off if Lars had died in that bus crash, instead.

Also, I was pretty sure the St. Anger snare sound was just a snare with the springs off?

I want to say that it's just the prominence in the mix that makes it seem really grating. Also I remember that album having a couple of really great riffs, but I'm definitely not going to listen to it again to confirm.
good deals are here.

Then they'd have run the ass-stupid comment through their PR department first, and it'd never have seen the light of day.

It'd have come out as "Others have tried to make the ULTIMATE METAL SOUNDS... but only I, Captain Kirk, have boldly gone where no guitar has gone before!"

Yeah, I mean winter is the best season for surfing, so I'm sure Kirk was just like "yeah that's sounds good" when he was listening to some copy.

Would love to see him do something akin to the Boneshaker with another 'guitarist-owned'' company now. Assuming the idea was good I could get behind, say, a Dwarfcraft + Kirk wah pedal Device.

Terrible as that album is, I still think often about getting a "my lifestyle determines my deathstyle" tattoo. Best line.

Talkbass locked the thread because no one can have a conversation there without being a child. LOL. This is coming from me!!! hahahaha.

Kirk is a douche nozzle. Anyone that sides with him is also a douche nozzle.

I wrote a better line about 25 years ago on my friends bedroom wall when I was high:

"I live my life as if I would die in a tuxedo."

Get that tattoo instead.

I'm probably in a minority here but St.anger is/was the only 'tallica album I liked. I think it was because all my middle school friends couldn't shut tf up about Metallica and did stuff like camp outside of the venue they played for two days in March (which btw ended up being cancelled due to James eating bad oysters ) and me and a friend rebelled and listened to that album.
