Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
Alright. This is what I've been waiting for. One spot left on the power supply, but I couldn't decide between a pitch pedal, a trem/chop/groove pedal, or a hold/sustain pedal. Didn't want to go back to the Pitchfactor...amazing.echorec wrote:CME just got their first Dream Sequence in.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Hah, it's actually the opposite for me. I guess the Csidman will be more expensive than the Possessed hereaholidayatthesea wrote:I was thinking that maybe the csidman would be a nice alternative to the possessed since it's cheaper and will probably be more widely available.

Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
I've watched the Vimeo video that explains the Possessed in details, the Csidman actually seems quite different. Which justifies getting both for you addicts
.
The Possessed is driven by a LFO whereas the Csidman's repeats are probability-based (and it can behave like a delay, with feedback). Without a way to sync the LFO to an external clock I think I'd prefer the second approach but each one has its benefits and the LFO makes the Possessed a sort of interesting modulation effect, too...

I'm bored in an orchestra pit and I wanted to lay this out. I feel like it's only a matter of time before other pedal makers join in and things get even more confusing.
Possessed: $269
SIGHT - dry/wet
SMELL - buffer length
TASTE - number of repeats?
TOUCH - modulation?
HEARING - overall volume
SCIDMAN: $199
MIX - dry/wet
TIME - delay time
CUTS - buffer length
LATCH - number of repeats
FEED - feedback?
Charlie foxtrot: $189
MIX – dry/wet
SIZE – buffer length
DURATION – number of repeats
THRESHOLD – threshold/manual trigger
PREAMP LEVEL – overall volume
PITCH MODES

You're forgetting things like the Raptio, Judder, Super Flutter, DD-3/5. It's not a new effect.
Or if you're going for this type of thing a lot of super choppy trems can get you a similar sound, especially if you can modulate the chop time. The Goatkeeper and the chop modded Gravitas are good for this. I miss putting my GK3 in the loop of a superego.

WHOA. I'm just one man over here. I wasn't planning on doing anything that exhaustive. I mainly did the possessed because it seems pretty nebulous, and I did the foxtrot and SCIDMAN because they're fairly new and less expensive (sub $200). Raptio and DD3 are way simpler, but definitely the Judder and revolver and Particle would all be in a similar category.

We should've named it Hot Garbageinsubordination wrote:That RaingerFX echo is awesome, particularly with Igor. I'm seeing that in my future.
Also, not to be a total dick but does anyone else think that Fuzzrocious delay sounds like hot garbage?
We're shooting for $180. It has an external time pot (to the right of repeats). We can still make the mix external. We wanted to focus on the use of time as the "weird" factor rather than just oscillation/runaway feedback. I get what you and @insubordination are getting at. Totally cool. It's not for every player out there, but we hope some people dig it for making a mess with delay.ThurberMingus wrote:I don't know who they were appealing to with that pedal. Seems like it's gonna be a total flop. It's a PT2399 delays with no time pot, no modulation, and no runaway feedback switch. It's a basic chip delay with none of the features that make me like the 2399, and it's gonna be $200. What a joke.

Hey Ryan while you're here what's the email to shoot you for pedal warranty? I have a 'Stashe that's got some connection/wiring issues.

what? That's a real question. Stomp the shit out of something for six years or so, things get wonky.
I mean, not that you've ever held onto a piece of gear for six years, but.

And don't forget all the various software based versions that have been around on the EDM scene for a while. Check out Stutter edit if you really want to get crazy.
