PS4 : Bloodborne. Game of the year for me.
Also, Rocket League is really, really fun, works really well on PS4.

Grandia II was mad fun.
Almost bought it on Steam the other day because I love JRPGs.

Yes! Great story and smart battle system with some badass moves!

First one was the initial reason why I wanted a PS4, but I forgot it amongst all the excitement. Really enjoyed the first two Souls games, so I'm picking that up for sure!

Second title is new to me. Gotta look that up!

Re: The Video Game thread
Bloodborne and Rocket League
(this is a serious answer, btw)
Also, worth mentioning : I love Rocket League even though I don't like cars and football at all. That game is just extremely fun, well-tuned, and even though it's definitely skill-based (what really good players can do is quite amazing), it's fun at all skill levels.

Bloodborne is amazing, there's some great PSN flash sales on right now so stock up on games like MGSV: GZ/TPP, Metro:Redux, Shadow Of Mordor and Wolfenstein while they are really cheap. Tomb Raider is a solid 7/10 kind of game and worth a playthrough if you haven't played it before. I kind of think that Rocket League was a bit more fun before everyone started to learn proper tactics.
Resident Evil Revelations 2: episode 1 comes with RAID (Mercenaries) Mode and is more fun than the entire game and costs like 5 bucks. RE:RV2 is kind of bullshit, but i've spend hours and hours doing Raid.
Oh, buy Resident Evil HD. People have don't talk about how great that port is, it's still the best.

Ughhh Steam sucks. I don't know why they still get such a following. Both Origin and GOG has a million times the customer service, decent storefronts and is also far more reliable.
I've had too many issues with Steam, especially their customer service.

I like PSO portable. I was fun for the PSP...never played the sequel though.
I think there were co-op games for the genesis and SNES in Japan...can't remember their names though...I know you could get d/l only games on them...one for the SNES was supposedly a pretty good JRPG.
Did you play the old Xenoblade, JereFuzz? Great story, terrible gameplay at some points...but it had a pretty good story that got kinda condensed because of budget/sales (was supposed to be 5 games...ended at 3). Tried to watch the anime...but couldn't do it (just seemed off). Don't play games for the story much, but that one caught me (or rpgs for that matter).
Two new games are coming out soon I think for dreamcast...and I can't remember their names (umm...one I know is a JRPG/Grandia style it looks like and the other is based off some anime...got them both on preorder).
Oh! Really excited for the new not-castlevania castlevania side scroller from the guy that created castlevania...he went independent! Don't remember its name either. But SOTN and the DS/Andvance games were awesome!
Never played the original Xeno but I read it was a limited printing. It was re-released on 3DS I believe ... I have the new Xeno and will start jumping hard into it soon ...

Steam is the biggest piece of shit forced on gamers. GOG is king, and I will (and have) payed more than double the price for a game to actually own it rather than deal with the steam shitstorm of rights management.

I have a wii u and there is no port for resident evil ... we only have revelations which isn't bad at all. I picked up zero for wii (which works with wii u). I think future RE games need to make character movements more fluid. I don't know if they made that improvement on HD but it fells "too" old school compared to games available today ...

BTW, I'm a HUGE RE fan but I like it heavier in the horror than sci-fi ...

Re: The Video Game thread
The Gamecube era was the best for games, those HD Resident Evil games were brilliant and were a huge chunk of my life. I had played most of them on PS1, but being 11-13 years old seeing them fresher for the first time was so good. They were blatant HD remakes, but this was before the internet would just kill a guy because of it.

Re: The Video Game thread
Everyone and their mother want a RE2 HD remake. I think I'm the only person I know who liked RE3 better, and would love to see a HD remake of that instead. Nemesis was such a great character and kept me on my toes for the entire length of the game.
