But once I had it for about a year and never gigged with it, because of the rarity and also because the band I was in just didn't have room for glitchin the fuck out. Oh yeah, I think I might've been in some debt too and decided it can move on to someone else. My loss, someone else's gain. What's the diff with Revolver II & DT?
II is more randomized modes and a max of 1 sec sample time
DT has more reverse modes and maxes at 4 sec of sample time

Both have the same glitch modes, but the other modes vary...but both have slow down and speed up modes (like going from 2x to normal to 1/2 speed on one sweep in different orders...the hexe page has them all listed).

With the vario, you can get some CV styled sweeps and I would assume that the copilot broadcast would work too (because it works in normal exp pedals). I mean, you could sequence into the revolver too. The thing I really like about the revolver is that it is very intuitive and seems well thought out for live use...the fact I can tap an resample with one press/hold and have a bypass/off (or auto max sample swith when off turning on) on another is great....and it doesn't mess with my clean if on...it is simple and well planned for foot use. (so is the judder, raptio, and others too...but that is really a benefit over the way I see the teaspoon working).
sssweatyauraaa wrote:Ugh I should've spent more time with the ML. Is the "extra glitchy" version actually extra glitchy??
I can't really tell if the one you had was extra glitchy or not...it has the bypass background noise that was supposedly the problem but doesn't act like my extra glitchy (which is harder to trigger and like the opposite...needs a really really hot signal or no signal). The one you sent me behaves more like the 5-knob horizontal without the boost function (which is more useful for the preamp distortion than anything repeat related in my opinion). I don't know what version it is really....kinda like a mix? It kinda doesn't have the full on glitch of the extra glitchy when I can trigger it, but the repeats are much harsher and lofi than the 5-knob horizontal (and more in character with the glitchy)...

so, as usual with Dr. Slime, :idk:

I'm respectfully going to disagree with you. It boosts the signal hitting the chip, setting the threshold for the reset (CW lowering the threshold).

edit: wait, are you talking about the horizontal ML or are you talking about the version you just got? I'm confused

I guess I should have been more specific...it helps the osc side but not the reseting thing... at least on the 5-knob I have...I don't know though...

CCW lowers the threshold and usually stays off on the 5-knob here...and glitch has to be over 2/3 full (after that it lowers the threshold until all the way CW). Like, I said, no two the same (but what I meant by the 5-knobs being the "most" standard was in sound...the other three don't sound the same at all).

Eh, same idea though, just reversed contol, I guess

I'm just glad I haven't got to try any of his stuff. That would only serve to amplify GAS for it. It's kind of cool how he does it though. I like the random and scarce thing. Makes it seem more like a treasure you know?

Yeah, sometimes I think I want an anti-nautilus more than anything, and it almost hurts. But then other times I am just glad that a few of them exist out there, totally unobtainable. It's like the last unicorn.

Mechanical Sun Delay seems like it would be great to fiddle sounds with.
Of course it is hard to turn knobs on pedals you will never encounter in
real life. But that way they never break on you or disappoint you either.

Is it better to long for something that for all intents and purposes
doesn't exist in your world? Or is it better to make music with the
tools at hand?

Revolver-GAS comming in!
Where do you buy Hexe-pedals? Any retailers or only direct from Hexe?
Can't find any prices either.

He has a contact form on the hexe site (http://www.hexeguitar.com). Piotr will e-mail you back with details. There may be a wait list (he builds a run of one and then the next...so you may have to wait until the next run), but he is really reliable, nice, and doesn't charge until the pedal is ready.

Did the Mechanical Sun ever get produced beyond the prototype that Cloudscapes demonstrated? That thing was amazing.

Nope, according to him still has more kinks to work out. He said he would like to make a few one day though.

Also, damn $1200 for that pedal. zetamk3 must be furious he only charged half that per pedal.
