Also, wtf was I thinking choosing the Teaspoon over the Revolver back in the day? Revolver is so much more advanced.

Re: Anti-nautilus, what's up?
I've never used a teaspoon, but they seem to have their own sound and twist on things...
But at least the revolver is still made. revolver II is still in production at least (Revolver DT I think was only 100 units and I got the last one)...
Still waiting on the vario though...but revolver II and DT are different enough where I kinda want the II also.
Maybe teaspoon had better demos? Seems to have a mystique about it too...
Memory Loss city at my house (I really gotta get 'em to their final locations...but gotta do two more tests haha).

Re: Anti-nautilus, what's up?
Really?? Lordgalvar, maybe you could shed some light on this, after I traded him my new Memory Loss. I honestly couldn't cop a good glitch for the life of me. Maybe my pickups are weak or I was using the wrong power supply, because all I was getting was a faint dynamic-triggered delay(which could be considered a glitch ok?). I really don't see the similarities, although I was really hoping for that when I ordered it.D.o.S. wrote:Also I like how the 'obtaninable' answer to an AntiNaut is a Memory Loss

I had a guy offer me 4 or 5 crayon pedals at one point for $2500. Kinda wish I went for it but he didn't have THE ONE I wanted

Re: Anti-nautilus, what's up?
I think the demos I remember watching had a cv sequencer running into the delay control and I was like, "holy shit!". But once I had it for about a year and never gigged with it, because of the rarity and also because the band I was in just didn't have room for glitchin the fuck out. Oh yeah, I think I might've been in some debt too and decided it can move on to someone else. My loss, someone else's gain. What's the diff with Revolver II & DT?lordgalvar wrote:I've never used a teaspoon, but they seem to have their own sound and twist on things...

Re: Anti-nautilus, what's up?
hahahahahaha!
zetamkvii strikes again with the sonic crayons! I'm guessing there was a NERV sticker, Ruiner?
The glitch is I guess the dynamic trigger delays and going in between that and oscillations with the Mem Loss...like I starve it of information (meaning turn down the volume) and it kinda loops/self oscillates whatever is below it's reset threshold. That is in glitch mode (usually glitch or unlabeled knob turned past 2/3 or all the way up). On the other end, it is just an oscillating delay. But if you play soft enough and use volume control (like I was doing with the revolver's repeat volume controlling), you can go in an out of repeat quickly to osc or not oscillating delays....sometimes you can get some delay time mod by doing that quickly enough or overloading (certain ones...no two are the same) the chip buffer. You will also get some delay time mod by dynamically overloading and then not (but it is harder to do)....it all really depends on the specific mem loss...though the horizontal 5-knobs are the most standard.
Also, the preamp he uses is sometimes switchable and makes an ok distortion (in which you can lower your guitar volume and make a delay...Kompakt Kassette has the same kind of preamp in a different kinda of pedal).

Yup sure was zeta and it was 3 pedals. That's why I didn't get it...

Ugh I should've spent more time with the ML. Is the "extra glitchy" version actually extra glitchy??lordgalvar wrote:hahahahahaha!

II is more randomized modes and a max of 1 sec sample timesssweatyauraaa wrote:I think the demos I remember watching had a cv sequencer running into the delay control and I was like, "holy shit!". DT has more reverse modes and maxes at 4 sec of sample time
Both have the same glitch modes, but the other modes vary...but both have slow down and speed up modes (like going from 2x to normal to 1/2 speed on one sweep in different orders...the hexe page has them all listed).
With the vario, you can get some CV styled sweeps and I would assume that the copilot broadcast would work too (because it works in normal exp pedals). I mean, you could sequence into the revolver too. The thing I really like about the revolver is that it is very intuitive and seems well thought out for live use...the fact I can tap an resample with one press/hold and have a bypass/off (or auto max sample swith when off turning on) on another is great....and it doesn't mess with my clean if on...it is simple and well planned for foot use. (so is the judder, raptio, and others too...but that is really a benefit over the way I see the teaspoon working).
I can't really tell if the one you had was extra glitchy or not...it has the bypass background noise that was supposedly the problem but doesn't act like my extra glitchy (which is harder to trigger and like the opposite...needs a really really hot signal or no signal). The one you sent me behaves more like the 5-knob horizontal without the boost function (which is more useful for the preamp distortion than anything repeat related in my opinion). I don't know what version it is really....kinda like a mix? It kinda doesn't have the full on glitch of the extra glitchy when I can trigger it, but the repeats are much harsher and lofi than the 5-knob horizontal (and more in character with the glitchy)...sssweatyauraaa wrote:Ugh I should've spent more time with the ML. Re: Anti-nautilus, what's up?
I'm respectfully going to disagree with you. It boosts the signal hitting the chip, setting the threshold for the reset (CW lowering the threshold).lordgalvar wrote:the 5-knob horizontal without the boost function (which is more useful for the preamp distortion than anything repeat related in my opinion)
edit: wait, are you talking about the horizontal ML or are you talking about the version you just got? I'm confused
