Welp, shit, I just sold my Pitchfactor. Didn't want to, but that's how it goes sometimes.hbombgraphics wrote:Invisible Man wrote:I seriously tell myself this all the time. The one pedal everyone says is indispensable...nah.Inconuucl wrote:Son, where we're going we don't need a tuner.
Clip ons read pretty well and they are making them to read a ton better even on noisy stages
plus you just buy a pitchfactor for tuning if you really need a pedal one
The only thing I'll miss with a strap-on tuner (that's what I prefer to call them) is tuning fuzz oscillations. But...big deal. More mayhem.

You can do that with a pedal tuner if you put it after the fuzz.

That's what me and Eivind do. So much tuned oscillation in iRerror.neonblack wrote:You can do that with a pedal tuner if you put it after the fuzz.

sounds awesome,
Have never tried this but may tonight
Don't have a pedal tuner outside of the pitchfactor but you could do the same thing with a smart phone tuner near your amp right?

Right! But that's what I'm considering, as it's the only thing I gain with a pedal instead of a strap-on tuner. That's what I've always done. Making things as basic as I can.neonblack wrote:You can do that with a pedal tuner if you put it after the fuzz.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
Last band I played in (drums), both the guitar player and I had Fat Fuzz Factories. We loved tuning them to musical (or unmusical) intervals and messing around.
And that's when I realized I...want oscillators, not just oscillating fuzzes.

intervals...tuning oscillations...
ummm....haha, too much work...just ring mod that stuff.
Damn, to be tone deaf (pretty much confirmed I am on part of that spectrum) and play by numbers (I know everything by the dots! No fretless for me).
Ring Modsssss...still owe Eivind a pedal board picture. Damn, haha. Soon!

You know I did, galvar. FFF into a Moog ring mod...lovely. And the J bass I built is fretless. It's challenging to intonate well, for sure.

Sick ass board, not a single pedal that isn't completely GAS inducing
It's fucking awesome. Also, the post-dirt circuit in it is like some of my fav gain EVA!

Try to do this if you play with a band.hbombgraphics wrote:UglyCasanova wrote:That's what me and Eivind do. So much tuned oscillation in iRerror.neonblack wrote:You can do that with a pedal tuner if you put it after the fuzz.

My tuner was in the tuner output of my VP Jr in order to tune the loops/drones made by the ct5/rm-1n/iPad app.

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
I use this one. It's cheap, has a big display, a bypass out so you can play through it, and is pretty good at keeping track of your notes/oscillations/drones. Very pleased it it!Willem wrote:Try to do this if you play with a band.hbombgraphics wrote:UglyCasanova wrote:That's what me and Eivind do. Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
Thanks UC, the only one I knew that had a bypass out (ie that didn't mute) was the TU-3. I sold my volume pedal cause I want to purchase a volume roller. I was looking at a bypass splitter that I could put under the board but I can consider this one, though I used a polyphonic tuner that works well when I want to tune the drones.
