You might want to consider the Apocalypse. It has a "fuzz war" mode that I A/B'd with a fuzz war and it seemed the same (prompting me to sell the fuzz war). The fuzz war is their "flagship" pedal, I guess. The apocalypse has a bunch of other DBA style modes too, so you can hear if DBA style stuff suits you. The enclosure is the same size as the fuzz war.

Echo Dream 2 is cool as well. And I would recommend it over the reverb machine. I have a soundwave breakdown too (3 knob) and the most conventional setting is voiced to my liking (as a guy that likes the fuzz war mode of the apocalypse the best of the modes). I did NOT really get along with the interstellar overdriver deluxe, though I like the IO on its own as a boost/OD. I like the additional modes of the apocalypse better than IO deluxe.

My two personal favorites are the kill kill filter and the harmonic transformer. I am amazed how many sounds can be had with the harmonic transformer and its one knob and 2 toggles.

I love DBA stuff and putting together a second completely DBA board for fun, although I feel like it wont be complete until I can manage to find a sunshine reverberation

That Harm Trans looks amazing. Still jealous of that ED1. Did you decide to keep it after all? :)

Since we've begun talking rarities, I'll throw in my Echo Master. Easily in my top three delays of all time:

Yeah I'm keeping it. I just posted in a moment of weakness to try to fund a guitar project. It is staying with me. Echo master looks so rad. I want it!

I'm glad! I was worried it might have disappeared away from ILF. I'll jump at the first one I see for sale. No more waiting around! I'm a sucker for a good delay. :snax:

The Echo Master is super gritty and noisy. It pops and crackles and is just endlessly beautiful paired with a fuzz. I should make a dedicated demo of it some time.

I keep putting it off though.

Here's a pairing video, for those interested (skip to 2:10 for audio)

Well hey, if there ever comes a time you want to get rid of that echo master you let me know and I will trade you an ED1 and something else for it ;). (I have 2 ED1s)

Yeah, I seem to remember a certain evil filter clone that you wanted that could possibly be the "something else." So you let that all sink in ;)

Just go balls deep and hunt for one of their really hard to find pedals. Start out right!!

Kill Kill Filter is probably one of my most use pedals. Not necessarily a fuzz, but with the gain maxed it can do some fuzz sounds. I almost always have it way up if not maxed. The thing lets through so much bass, it's crazy. Even with the filter to the highest high pass, it still lets all the bass through so you can get some cutting sounds with the beef still in there.

Fuzz War is a good solid fuzz. Want to try one of the weirder variations on it though.

I still want to have that dangling from my mic stand to twist those knobs while I'm singing!
If you ever want to sell... Oh well. I'm always broke but for this I would make it happen.

For sure, man. I already gave you dibs, but I doubt I'd ever sell it unless I got into some serious money trouble (which is not impossible). I did post guts somewhere though, if you want to have it built. :)

Half the fun is in the mojo.

Sorry for bugging you about it. But I fell in love when I laid eyes on it and it's always hurtful to see it with another man.
