I watched the first episode of Non Non Biyori a while back, and thought it was stupid. I tried watching it again last Sunday and ended up watching all the way up to S2 of episode 3 in one day.
idk what happened.

i've done that before.
Non Non Biyori is cool, i find it calming and therapeutic.

it's sooooooooo chill. makes me want to quit studying physics, and just have a super mellow family and open a candy store no one goes to. lol
stupid anime. making bumpkin life look better than it is.

Non Non Biyori is a total jam. I was still in college when the first season was airing and once a week I'd just get high as fuck and then fall asleep to it. 10/10 for calming down.

Also Eivind, watch Shinsekai Yori. It's the best show ever made and anyone that doesn't agree is sub-human. (make sure to download the UTW-subs, although I don't know if anyone else actually subbed that show because it's so fucking hard to translate)

I really liked the anime, and tried reading the manga a little while ago, and my goodness. Boobies out of control. I was wondering how the anime turned out so well, when the manga was like a yuri doujin. Then I found out it was based on an LN first.

It's based on a full length novel actually, not a light novel. The novel won the 2012 sci-fi book of the year award. Yusuke Kishi is one of my favorite writers from Japan, guy can write a horror story. It's also incredibly difficult. By the second page I'm already looking up kanji. I'll read it all one day.

Manga is a fucking travesty and I don't get why they decided to translate that instead of the novel. Fuck that manga to the ends of the earth because I'm afraid people will start to think the show is like the manga.

Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi is airing next season. That show is going to be so fucking good. I'm on the 4th volume of the manga right now and it's a fantastic suspense/murder-mystery so far.

Yeah, but each season is a different series. I think they are translated so that their stories intercept or something.

The decision to create this series came from Carl Macek who was disappointed at the crude alterations made to Kagaku ninja tai Gatchaman (1972) in the creation of Battle of the Planets (1978). He wanted to import an anime series of his own and have it faithfully translated for the Western market. However, the best series he could obtain, Chôjikû Yôsai Macross (1982), had only 36 episodes, which was far too few for the standard 65-episode syndication package that the North American TV market demanded. To fix that problem, Macek decided to acquire two similarly-themed series, Chôjikû kidan Sazan Kurosu (1984) and Kikô sôseiki Mospeada (1983). He then connected the series as a grand epic of succeeding generations of characters in the series that are forced to fight three successive wars over an alien energy source called Protoculture that the enemy is desperate to capture.

I've only seen Macross out of those, which is a semi-cool watch.

I think it goes Bake, Nise, 2nd Season (is hanamonogatari apart of 2nd season? if not then hana comes after 2nd), then tsuki and then owari.
