I told myself I wouldn't both with the settlement building stuff because it's just a waste of time. First time it's available to me? Spend a couple hours scavenging the shit out of Sanctuary and completing all the settlement missions there

If you're jumping in and comparing the Fallout series to games that came AFTER it, that's just weird. Because it really set the pace. The original probably seems clunky and naff compared to modern games but there is something really endearing and awesome about it that they've managed to retain in the modern games. I'm probably a bit nostalgic like that, but it's the same sort of magic that people who love Sam and Max or Grim Fandango can relate to.
I've got the originals plus tactics and I've played plenty of Wasteland 1+2 as well. I like Fallout, I kind of wish that it was as a little less open. The series has great aesthetics, experimentation and mini stories, I like the game itself more than the exploration. Openworld games are just big and I play a lot of games. Ofcause i'm still going to buy it because I do want play it, i'm just waiting a bit.
OK. Just testing your mettle there.
I got my copy today. Installed that thing, and, as suspected. Cannot play it because my RAM pulls in short. Fuck you, ebay. Seriously.
That shit better gbe here by week's end.

This is my shit. Did the rerelease ever happen my old CD copy won't run on my computer.
I think it did...through GOG, or I think it got funded at least (can't remember...get my updates from the facebook that used to be the commodore 64 rerelease page before the creator passed).
Just checked it is out on Steam (if you are into that...I kinda refuse to use it haha)

I just recently played through Grim Fandango on Steam. Probably one of the best games I've ever played.
Back on Fallout topic, I may have just spent an hour trying to plan out the perks I want to get while at work. I probably should have taken the whole week off to get this out of my system.
i started casually playing chrono trigger again. the hardest part is when i haven't played the game for awhile, and then have to figure out wtf i was supposed to do next.
