Then forget of dittos, headrush and actually most of the cheap loopers out there.

Boss RC-3 is the cheapest looper I'm aware of that can do seamless loops, which is nothing but going from recording mode to overdub in 1 step.
This is very useful and a "must" for ambientz stuff, if you are getting that pause between loops and you are looping just regular stuff, then you need to polish your timing and learn how your looper's switches work.

My hunch is probably a bit of both. The only looper experience I had (Stereo Memory Man) was less than stellar, and there is a very strong possibility that some/most/all of my issues were due to timing on my part

it def depends on the type of music u are making, but sometimes the pauses and janky loops sound dope.

was it the hazarai one? i remember that one taking some getting used to w/ the looper since u have to hold down to record if i remember correctly..? fantastic pedal in some aspects tho.

i still love just using my DL-4s. not sure about ditto x2 but v1 sucks. annoying as hell how it has to play one little blurp when stopping.

Those things are overpriced and stupid.

My vote is for the Ditto or Ditto X2. I hate looping with the Boss squish switch.

The Ditto X2 apparently has a switch on the inside that lets you go straight into overdub from recording. I wish I had known that before I sold mine.

It was the hazarai, indeed. I liked it as a delay and it did all kinds of weird/crazy shit, but that looper pissed me off every time I tried to use it.

Seems like the x2 continues to be the favorite. Probalby outside of the Christmas budget, so I may have them grab me something like a tuner (which I need but won't buy for myself, because fuzz). But the x2 will remain on the radar for mah looping needs.
