That really sucks dude, they are the worst place to get stuck at for any length of time. I know, I used to work at one.snipelfritz wrote:Gotta get my air bags fixed because of a recall. Didn't realize it would take 3 hours.

I share my office with someone who doesn't believe in headphones, but rather, prefers laptop speakers and the WORST electronic dance music in the world.
And I hate having to tell my employees things that should be common courtesy.

I've been removed of invalid pensioner status and now considered work ready after 8 years of being dormant. I now have to find a job. I'm not pissed off about that. I felt I was going stale and have felt I needed to get back into the work force. I'm pissed off because there are no jobs in this region unless you can work in retail or you know how to work the land. I can't deal with customer service and what the fuck do I know about agriculture? I grew up in the city. Sure I can grow some bitchin dope plants both indoor and outdoor. But it's not like there is a big calling for that in a country where its illegal to grow pot. I can't afford to move back to the city, besides it will burn me out mentally anyway. I can't handle city living. It's why I moved out to the mountains in the first place.

Buy goats. Make organic goat cheese for the city hipsters. Buy a bag to stash your money in.
Seriously though, good luck on the job hunt.
Edit: There are a lot of jobs you can do from home with a internet connection. Data entry, secretary, customer service (it could be less of a bitch over the phone when you can give them the bird without them knowing) and plenty other things like that.

I wouldn't totally write off agriculture/farm work depending on what it is, i'm a city slicker and was working chicken farms for a while and it wasn't that bad, keeps you fit and you can spend a lot of time alone too.KaosCill8r wrote:I've been removed of invalid pensioner status and now considered work ready after 8 years of being dormant. Moving back to the city probably won't help too much considering how fucked up the cost of housing is getting in most major cities over here.

Our cat ran off. She doesn't even usually try to get outside, so we don't know when it happened. She has been gone at least 3 days, though.

I'm sorry to hear that. I would be devastated if any of our feline fur children disappeared. Hopefully she was just spooked and comes home when it feels safe for her.aens_wife wrote:Our cat ran off. Shit of the day.
Paypal account was pirated and emptied.
Good thing that I was online at that moment and could stop it all before it went too far. After a couple hours of work, all my different levels of passwords have been changed everywhere. Hoping this will do the trick.

Sorry to hear man, hope you get all of your shit back. Paypal was pretty quick about it the one time it happened to me.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
What saved me is that I don't keep my actual credit card in there. My bank provides me with a service of virtual perishable cards I can generate online with a very secure process and a set maximum amount of money. So the dickhead only got my Paypal money and the little leftovers on the couple cards that were still active.
What fucks me up though, is to wonder how that douche got my damn password. This one was used on very few sensitive services and was pretty complicated.
