This thread rules,
Used a plush head and 2x15 in stereo with a univox head and 2x12 bass cab for years and years
played mostly parking garages and bowling alleys and once inside a boxing ring with it,
also had 2 of the vertical custom 4x12 and a kustom PA head that I would play alot out live used those once in a basement under a dominoes pizza, legit overkill but very much worth it

I don't have any pictures with super clear quality but I once played a bar that had a max occupancy of 30 in band that included a 60w Egnater Renegade through a Mesa 4x12, a Hartke HA2000 through matched 4x10, and Fender Blues Deluxe with 4 PA speakers supplying the drums and Vocals.

Played a house show in a kitchen with a 2 hundred watters and 2 6x12s, with the bassist rocking a 2x15 and a 4x10. Everyone at that party was kinda pissed. That what a small club is for hardcore I guess.

When I would do power electronics sets years back I refused to go through the PA most of the time. I instead went through a Peavey 1820 cab, a Peavey 120w Rockmaster Head, and an Acoustic B200H head. It was terrifying.
Played a house show in a basement that was pretty much a crawl space using a 1x15 and the B200H, white noise generator into Big Muff into Meatbox and everyone almost shit themselves. It was awesome

Peavey rockmaster ftw! I fully needed a lynyrd skynyrd back line to play basements and tiny bars. Selling this rig before I moved across country is my only gear regret. Skullservant you are a beast. I mostly played guitar through this but I did a few drone sets with some tablet synth & my pedal board and it crushed.

Re: obnoxiously large rigs for small clubs
Whats the point? Not that these rigs arent all awesome.
I can get it for solo and noise stuff.
But if all you're doing is masturbating while your band is playing, then why play live? Why play in a band even?
Its totally cool and totally fun, but if yall know these rigs are obnoxious for their use, then isn't it just self-defeating?
My band plays too loud, too. But idk if its something to necessarily be proud of.

Because using an axe fx into the front of house and in-ear monitors is like smoking that fake weed they used to sell in the back of high times.
