It depends on how much you believe the KT120 datasheets. They list some serious numbers but not many people use them. I have heard some reliability issues plagued them. As far as 400Ws, well depends on lot on the plate/screen/primary impedance relationship. Generally if you had something like a DR405 type amp (which is 300W btw), it would need another pair of KT88s to get up to 400W clean power. So 8 Kt88s or so.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:that Mills amp guy in the first church saying how he's making a 400w tube amp for a guy but only using a quad of KT120's
not sure if that pic will show up.
I just find that very unlikely esp with how tight everything is and I'm not the only one saying the same.

Beyond that, it would just need to show the right amplitude sineaves on the output given the load impedance.

I'm sure someone would love to get a weed scented HM-2 or something for Xmas.
I pity the fool that gets SLK as theirs though. I hear those 6x15 cabs are a bitch to ship.
I for one would bask in the glory of having "Killed by a 6x15" on my headstone.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:neonblack wrote:Hey doom roomies, ILF Secret Satan is starting back up again. Check general gear for the deets or email ILFSS15@gmail.com

santa comes and drops it right on your roof into your living room
Still not asJoe Gress wrote: I for one would bask in the glory of having "Killed by a 6x15" on my headstone.
I know there was discussion some time ago about the transformers in those amps. Not sure how that plays into it, if at all, because I don't know shit about shit but there's also that.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:new05002 wrote:It depends on how much you believe the KT120 datasheets. exactly I was hoping would comment on it. It just seemed very odd but I figured there was much more going on than I know off hand.
