Longest I've ever waited for a piece of gear after ordering it but Petras just informed me my 215 is complete and will ship out next week.

Thanks for posting that, mang. After hearing some clips, it's definitely a contender for the next dirt pedal I pick up.conky wrote:Trey, I had an Algal bloom once. It reminded me a lot of the Black Forest IIRC. I mean it'd get really woofy and muff like, but the starve knob and lower gain settings got into BF territory. I wouldn't use one by itself for the heavies (it sounds good, I just like the Pharaoh a shit ton more for that) but it stacks nicely with other fuzz. I only did one short demo video comparing the Pharaoh and Algal Bloom and didn't tweak any knobs but you can see how it stacks. I should have put it first in line because it stacks better with everything else that way. Maybe someone could do a better comparison of the two.

YES. Proof that I'm not the 'good' parent in my marriage - all of my fatherly instincts are telling me to show this gif to my kiddo right now.whiskey_face wrote:

As beautiful as that cab is, and it fucking is, I can't bear the thought of buying something that pretty and the abusing the shit out of it on the regular.untilshewokeme wrote:Longest I've ever waited for a piece of gear after ordering it but Petras just informed me my 215 is complete and will ship out next week.
And cabs in road cases are just silly.
But yeah, that's super hot.

They hold up really well. My Emperor and Atlas cabs look way better than all of my cabs with tolex and I treat them the same. They come with a slip on cover and that keeps the deep gouges from happening. As long as you aren't careless and just hurling your shit in and out of the van it won't be an issue.christianatl wrote:As beautiful as that cab is, and it fucking is, I can't bear the thought of buying something that pretty and the abusing the shit out of it on the regular.untilshewokeme wrote:Longest I've ever waited for a piece of gear after ordering it but Petras just informed me my 215 is complete and will ship out next week.

That's what I like to hear, not like I will be taking it on tour anytime soon, but at least I know lugging it back and forth to my brother in laws house to jam, it will stay in one piece.conky wrote:They hold up really well.
