Put some newspaper down on your cars parcel shelf and put them on there on a real hot day with your car out in the sun. Leave for about an hour. Simple and environmentally friendly

They weren't in the guitar by any chance? That would be worse? Warped neck waiting to happen there. Ouch! Though I suppose it wouldn't matter so much with those aluminium necked beasts you rock. But could split the body pretty bad though.

I know right! The action is super low on that guitar.

yep...i dont what it is...but they just know how to design a comfortable neck...you'd think by now this would be something everyone would know...

Any specific pickup or type people prefer for micro phonic sounds? I have a stock gibson one laying around. I think it's a 498. In my mind something more like a hot single coil would be cool. Just bring on all the noises.

Depends on how much gain you're working with and how well Gibson potted that 498. With low volume, low gain those pickups are clean and quiet (no noise) but wide open they can get shrill, feedbacky and I often find them to be microphonic in my Les Paul Special. And it's not a bad shrillness, it's just if you don't go through the trouble of properly adjusting an AlNiCo pickup in relation to your strings, you're not gonna get everything it can give you and it can sound weak or shrill. A well made single hot coil wouldn't be as microphonic as you'd think. I had a Strat with Texas Specials, HAWT pickups, that guitar feedback so much, but it didn't make weird noises the way my Les Paul does with a 498T/490R pickup set.
