Both sides run off of either 9 volt battery or center negative, barrel plug 9 volt DC adapters. The NPN can be daisy chain powered with most other pedals because it has the more predominant negative ground circuitry, but the PNP will need it's own dedicated power source because of it's positive ground circuit.
it's kind of annoying.
