I hadn't listened to Asobi Seksu yet. The name of the band is pretty funny :lol: :lol: :lol: . In japanese, asobi seksu can be translated as playful sex.

Yeah, their original name was Sportfuck, and they put out a s/t album under that name before they changed it. :lol:

I wouldn't say so. It's really really blissed out. It's way less guitar shoegazey if thats what you mean, but it's still blissed out as fuck. Beautiful album. I prefer it to citrus. Much more there own sound.

yeah my ex got me into them, I much prefer them over the Cocteau Twins.

You should check out their earlier stuff, Loved is a great album, particularly "Lilies", has a sort of JAMC type guitar sound.

I saw them in new york once, and talked to them afterwards. sweetest people, really dreamy band. I really disliked them until i saw them live, than i was like *melt*
