Going to Toronto tomorrow, what should I do?

Postby xrleroyx » Tue Jun 05, 2018 7:31 pm

Taking this girl up there, I’ve been a few times. Going to hit the staples but I’d like to check out some cool music stores and maybe some shows. I’ve been to Moog Music but nowhere else.

Also if anyone’s doing a house or regular show and wants some acoustic shoegaze get at me.

Looking for good cheap eats, cool bars basically anything.

Someone please send this to Billy every day until all his pent-up rage erupts, his head turns to actual chrome and he engages his final form: Ultimo-Corgon, where he finally starts to hate fuck every skyscraper in Japan demanding an explanation, weeping tears of mercury down on the innocent bystanders below while proclaiming to be the greatest musician of all time, including the future.

Geez, I missed this for whatever reason.

I do listings of cool T.O. shows on Mondays, so maybe of use for the future: http://mechanicalforestsound.blogspot.c ... p-253.html
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

I also help co-ordinate Okta, ILF's collaborative community ambient project: https://okta.bandcamp.com

Argh! Just saw this now.

Hope you went to Paul's Boutique. Great place to find gear if you like fishing.
Repeated visits, of course, yield best results. But sometimes you can find
lightning in a bottle from just one random visit.

If you like picking up records or music on the compact disc platform....
Soundscapes on College Street is awesome. Small space, but a great one.

She Said Boom! has books and LPs and a few CDs

BMV Books is a great place to get used/new books, CDs, movies, etc.
