There is a time for it (Josh Beckett was somebody that needed reminding once in a while which required a message to team mates since he was a pitcher...but he was a bad headhunter and asshole). He threw at Bobby Abreu's head on purpose because of something dumb from years before. The Sox fan I was sitting next to was like, "Yea, Josh! Rip his head off! That Aidenhart kid deserved to die!" It was like a month after. I don't remember what I said to that old man, but he got up and left.
I agree though. It's just childish. The Marisnick thing...it looks worse but I seriously think he misjudged and wasn't trying to hurt him.
But that stupid unwritten rule stuff makes it drag on and on.
The no bunting for a hit in a no hitter or on closers is lame too. Get on base anyway possible. Chris Perez was pissed at Kendrick when he bunted during a shutout or something. I think Aybar did it to Verlander too. Haha.
Loek van Mil now too. We traded away Fuentes for him. That's 4 Angels in two years. It's pretty crazy. I know Trout's brother-in-law and van Mil were minor leaguers, but it's still crazy. Tommy Hanson, Adenhart, and Ryan Bolden if going back a decade. Seven deaths in one organization in 10 years is starting to look like a curse.
I hate this season because the Yankees have put together a bunch of likable dudes and manager. I try to root for players over laundry but it still feels wrong to like the Yankees.

It is absolutely wrong to like the Yankees (or the Red Sox) for any reason and if you find yourself doing so you should probably report for a lobotomy.
