I got called and was set up for an interview for this week. It is exciting. Should I get the job I may not have to worry about money problems so much.

Went from a 10mb/s internet connection to 75mb/s today, for 25% less cash monies. Not the most amazing internet connection ever, but for me it's such an awesome upgrade. Plus, extra money for gear!

Loud. Really fucking loud.

But it was one of the greatest shows I've been to. So much feedback, so much energy, so much breaking of things (last stop on their world tour=time to smash stuff). Nice setlist too! The crowd was on fire. The end, where they brought all their gear into the crowd and played, was so amazing. And I got to take pictures of Oliver's and Dion's pedal boards, and talk to them about gear after the show, which as a lot of fun. :joy:

In the past week, through a series of sales, trades, and purchases, I transmuted a Microbrute, Phantom Arcade, Blue Box, Black Forrest, and a couch, into a DMM, LoFi, Clari(not), Velcrobot, and a Rook. I call that a good week :)

politics isn't a sport for idealists. labour have their flaws, tories many more. sometimes the least worst option is better than doing nothing and getting the worst option by default.

i am anti the 1% 'haves' ass-raping the 99% 'have nots'. and labour are closer to that principle than the tories, however flawed.

if i was in nearby brighton i would vote green, as their policies are ultimately far closer to my ideals and they actually stand a good chance of election there.
but where i am that is a wasted vote. no proportional representation here so have to play the tactical game.

i would rather you got $15 to make a big mac than you starved to death while some parasitic property-speculating skank got another tax break for bleeding their tenants dry. that would be the tory way.

the us and uk economies are among the richest in the world and yet their record on distribution of wealth makes depressing reading.
i think labour is more likely to do something about that than tory. not as much as i want but the best i can hope to get with my vote.

agreed. on small scale matters.

but taxation, healthcare provision, education provision, housing provision, etc are all controlled by the government.

therefore to a general extent i can only express my choice in those matters through political channels.

sonidero wrote:Nobody owes anybody anything so go out and get it or don't has a sad...

since the british government demands (under threat of imprisonment) a quarter to a third of my annual income, i would say it owes me quite a bit, to be perfectly honest. not least a say in how that money is redistributed.

which is why i vote.
