Yeah, WiiU. It's Nintendo's first party shooter. It's like Mario Sunshine meets Call of Duty. SO FUN. So many emotions.

That's not weird at all dude. IMO porn is fucking toxic. It warps the way you look at women and sexuality in general. It seems fun but I think it fucks with people more than they realize. I personally do not partake because I just don't roll like that anymore. Not that I'm on a high horse, to each their own. I'm not against others doing it, it's bad for me and folks I know though.

Also, I can't do metronomes. I've tried. Seriously fucking hate them. They confuse and anger me like I said. It's like playing a 6 string bass. I tried, and am just too stupid to pull it off. I can play a 5 all day though. Makes no sense. lol

that Berlin video was stupid. who the hell tells someone to learn to a click? i've been told "learn it, then try to play at this slower tempo, then faster, then the correct tempo.", not to figure out the parts on a clico or nothing.

and every example he cited was asinine.

clicks are good for some people when learning skills, timing shizz. nott everything is for everybody, but they have their place.

KINDA NEED TO BE ABLE TO HANG WITH A CLICK DURING RECORDING THOUGH.

I think a lot of modern music learning places an undue emphasis on clicks. At least, this is my perception of it, since my own formal music training is mostly non-extant. I don't think a click track fixes someone having a bad sense of time, but they will be on beat -- if that makes sense?

Pron - yurpah. i still go to eFukt for the sillies, but man. since i was basically single for 6 years i was watching WAY too many other people fuck. i've always been into animated, or text, or more fringey stuff where it's grrLs vs grrLs with strapons that shoot spiders or angry interactions that are obviously two consenting adults beating the shit out of each other...... but it got to where masturbating was this mechanical release thing. like stretching with more clean up.

and actually started to feel weird about my peen. i LOVE my peen. but watching so much Porno Dick was giving me a complex.

since Happy Times With The Karina, i've only masturbated by myself 2? maybe 3 times? less pron has sparked my internal imaginations and brought way more fluidity (and fluid?) and interest to my game.

like you, nothing against it. pron is good times for lots of peoples, and was for me for the longest. mebbe we'll get back together some day in Tentacle Town. just not helpful for me right now.

lol. yeah. i mean, from a teaching standpoint, i am talking so out of my ass. i have maybe 30 hour long lessons in my whole life to draw from.

i just meant all the arguments against clicks he had were silly. he was going from the supposition of teachers saying YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED THIS LET'S PLAY THIS AT 120 BPM WHY ARE YOU FUCKING UP COME ON IDIOT. of course that's dumb, but i've never been taught like that.

i use a click when i want to make myself slow down. or a simple looped beat. and Paul and i have played with that when we're working on something we TALK about wanting a slower feel with, and we can tell we're moving it faster.

urf. last band he and i were in was so shitty for me, had to be AWFUL for him. loads of backing tracks, click in his ear. borinnnnnng.

I don't think it's an argument addressed to us, though -- I think it's more aimed at, well, TB's target market. Those dudes can get awfully uptight when they don't see someone doing things "the right way".

The right way!!! What the fuck is the right way? The right way to them types are holding people back. The electric bass is a relatively new instrument in the grand scale of things so I don't think it has been exploited to its fullest yet. People will be finding new ways of exploring the bass for years to come. If it sounds good, then it's the right way. Who knows, maybe one day someone will sound great slapping the strings with their flaccid wang. :idk: the tone is in the wang.

It's just dogma, coming from the same people who say things like "DJs aren't real musicians" and the like.

yurp. not even worth getting mad over people that can't see past their limitations. i just guffaw and rub myself seductively at them.

sorta related - other day at a show had a kid ask me how i come up with riffs, what i do if i'm stuck. i started talking about looking up different chords that fit and playing with phrasing and inside that chord, he cut me off with, "oh. yeah. i don't learn chords. i MAKE MY OWN. it's like..... cheap. and stealing someone's music. did you write that chord? no. so it's not yours to use."

kayyyyyyyyyyy.
