A nice thing about getting out of bed at a reasonable time in the morning is that I don't feel guilty when I take a nap in the afternoon.

You know when you've been working on on a riff, and then a track, and it all sounds great. And then you go pee. And when you come back, you realize everything you've been working on for the last few hours sounds like shit.

Fuck that.

At least I seriously recorded something of my own for the first time in a while.

Maybe you should pee some more and see how it sounds then?

Haha, yeah I know. That's my general timeline. Hate it right after, feel alright about it in a week. A month later, damn I wish I could write something as good as that again.

It's odd how much I dislike 94% of jazz guitar considering I tend to play that shit when I'm plunking around on a guitar while watching a movie or something

Well, I don't really like that kinda fusion-y shit, but I'd like some of the sounds if they were out of context. :erm:

true, or they used a more interesting sound… I think my problem with most fusion is it sounds like people practicing vs playing :idk:
It's good to know all those scales and it's good to keep your hands in shape but it doesn't really make for interesting music particularly when you can tell what they are doing.. I just have to hold out I guess until these new tap players that have been showing up get past that stage and discover Last Exit and take that the next step :idk:

Feel you. Guitarist in my band plays jazz stuff and works that into our material sometimes. Whenever he shows us something that hes obviously written out and planned out before hand, it ends up coming across like he just BSed it on the spot. Makes it sort of hard to lock in rhythmically. I do appreciate the challenge tho. And when the songs work they work. But man, ether I'm an unclutured swine or jazz guitarists just operate on a different mental wavelength.

Also, waking up and listening to the dronier cuts off Pink is so soothing. :zen:

 The more I have learned and the better at musics I have gotten over the years I respect technical playing less and primitive playing more  Iike reggae, seems simple, and I have heard may chops manglers horrible blow it because they don't under stand what feel and space actually are, which knowing scales will not save you with, which is why in the end of all things Barrett in on an entire different level than Jaco :zen:

Keep a bucket next to the console, you won't have to leave to pee again.
