So I went down to the local joint the other day, and they recommended me some Old Stock Ale and something called "Juliet" by Goose Island. Anyone try 'em? I'm probably gonna crack a bottle of Old Stock tonight, either way.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Negra Modelo is seriously awesome. The fact that one of the best Munich Dunkels on earth is mass produced by Corona in Mexico seriously trips me out.

I love wheat beer, but Sunset Wheat is just a little too, erm, fruity? maybe for me.

It's been a while since I've had it though so I'm not sure. The resemblance in taste to Trix cereal is just kind of weird IMO.

oh man, been a LONG ASS time since i've checked in.

from recent memory:
-Asahi isn't the good cheap beer i remember it to be from New York and has a terrible aftertaste. i guess im a sapporo guy
-Three Floyd's scotch ale is the textbook standard for a good beer
-Fantome de Noel is a beautiful christmas ale and it warms the cockles of my heart to have another fantome beer tasted and another bottle in my fantome collection

I'm really REALLY surprised at how good Flying Dog's "Raging Bitch" is. It's a Belgian IPA, apparently, and it has all the best qualities of both styles. Excellent.

i've actually never had any self styled belgian/ipa that wasn't half-way to being a decent version of either style.

found another bottle of fantome noel that was the last bottle the place had. i didn't buy it, but i noted it's existence.

See, to me, it just tastes like an IPA. The only thing Belgian about it was just a hint of orange peel on the aroma. :idk:

Had one of these tonight in one of my Affligem branded chalices. Goddamn is this a fucking good beer. Easily beats several of the actual trappist breweries for the style.
