Thanks for the input, guys. Looks like we'll be doing the short run in gold. :thumb:

I finally took some pictures of the built up prototype.

Still deciding whether or not the toggle switches will be on the side or go on the top of the box. Top is more convenience, but blocks out a lot of the artwork.

Obviously, the production version won't have all the ridiculous socketing that the prototype does, so the wiring should be cleaner.

Looks great. Switches on the side are fine.

I agree with Chankz.
I'm curious what the other switch is for?

One switch is for the input cap, and the other is for the output cap. The "stock" values make the fuzz sound very thin and biting, which can be cool in some situations. But by letting in some additional low-end, the tone becomes a lot more useful in many more situations, in our opinion. And why commit to one or the other when you can just add a couple switches and have all the options available? ;)

We're calling the two settings "Vintage" and "Useful".

Also, it's important to note that a lot of the boutique clones are missing a resistor that shapes the final output tone. This version includes that resistor. You know, for vintage authenticalityness and science. :thumb:

I often tend to prefer external switches, but in this case, internal might make sense. It would keep things cleaner and I don't know how often people are going to switch back and forth.

This - unless you put them both on a second footswitch.

The problem I foresee with that approach is that there will likely be folks that want don't want to switch both caps. IMHO, the output cap should always be in useful mode, but the effect of the large input may work for some folks.

It's cool the way it is, that's my guess.
I'm curious to hear some decent clips though.
Have you guys already set a price?
