Hey, I know this is an old-ass thread, but I just wanted to say how much I love my SSStampede. I loaned it out for a bit, and tried out many different fuzzes while it was gone. All great pedals by great builders, but I just kept longing for my SSStampede again. after getting it back today I am happy to say that it definitely holds a special place on my board. It has a sound all its own and just inspires me every time I turn it on. Anyone considering getting one made for them should just do it. You will not regret it. Keep up the good work, Skully. Can't wait to see what you cook up next. Stoked for some filter madness as well!

Ha, after borrowing it, I'm definitely eventually gonna get one and I'm not gonna regret it.

Seconded on the ssstampede love. Before I was using a big muff exclusively for my drive sound, but after getting my custom ssstampede, I can't ever see going back to the muffs again. The way the ssstampede sounds is just more alive an expressive, it perfectly manafests the aggressive tone I've been looking for. And thanks to the mods that were done to mine, it's like a Swiss Army knife of a fuzz. The loom side sounds so good with bass, the ocillation is nuts, specially with the photo eye, and the visual aspect is amazing. It's become as vital a part of my rig as my guitars have, really can't express enough how pleased I am with it.

Can't wait to see what else you come up with skully, bring the noise! :doom:

Mine has a starve, oscillator, and pregain control and my favorite setting is with the pregain at 9 or 10 o clock, starve around 3, and the volume cranked. gets a glitchy broken sound and then I hit it with my Mini and it just roars!

I really miss mine and REALLY want another, but I told myself I can't buy any new pedals until I've built a few good ones.

last night .. late night headphone jammin'

Candiru fuzz > el cap> SSStampede.

not sure what i'd call it .. some kind of Drone - white noise - Sustaaain thing.
it was cool. i may add the ct5 later .. and see what happens :joy:

SSStampede makes other fuzzes Reeally interesting.
Blue Strat - Jazzmascis - Tele.
Fender - Squier.
Dr. Scientist - Dirge - FuzzHugger - Montreal Assembly - Hypnodrone.
