most likely.

On the jet king thing... I am a big Ibanez fan but what inspired it was more of a Teisco type of thing...

... for the metal guard.
The main reason for making it smaller is that the wood it too nice to cover it all up and also to add a little TB mojo to it as well

Thanks!

Music toy never retuned my e-mail about the pickup... warmoth is out [I wouldn't buy one from them any way:taxes+shipping, I don't Like Ken Warmoth ect.
So I either have to pay list or get black... or get black and find a chrome cover with no holes....

Ok more changes... :idk:

For now I am not doing the guard :idk: because I have yet another idea but don't want to wait to have one made... :idk:

So I ordered a jaguar control plate.... I'm thinking about doing something more like a bassVI PG but I don't want to hold this up any more then I have been just do to a PG... :idk:

Also I am going back on the Ric bridge because I don't want to rout a hole for it so I ordered a fender bridge.

Ok new mock-up :picard:

This is getting close to starting for real! I am putting the last coat of finish on the bleep I have been building for a while today.

So I have been thinking that a BassVI like guard whould be hip-and-all-that! and IT NEEDS TO BE ORANGE!
Here is mock-up with thundertron...

I'm going to try to do a color job with artist oils instead of dye. I don't like doing dye very much, it is usually hard to get it just right inless you are set up to spray, and I still plan on doing a oil based finish. I have done oil based finish colored before on a double bass and I thought it turned out very well, I was really able to get that 1800's french look on my bass but more red so it kind'a has this burlesque vibe to it for some reason.

Ps: The guitar turned out, I just have to wait a week then I buff and wax it.

Picts

Old plywood bass I've had since 97
I carved a new tailpiece and the fingerboard, the old ones were shitty black painted whitewood.
