Freeze fx loop mod

Postby Errant Tiger » Tue Jul 07, 2020 8:55 pm

So I'm in the process of purchasing an EHX Freeze and I saw this blog thing

https://dogisblue.com/gear/diy-effects-ehx-freeze-with-effects-loop-and-expression-pedal/

and I wonder if anyone out there has done this, or would like to do this, to my Freeze, when it's actually mine. It's the kind of thing I'd love to do myself - if I knew the first thing about anything involved in modding pedals, or had time/aptitude to learn.

I'm particularly interested in the FX loop part, but I'd never say no to EXP control.

Thanks in advance!

SMD and crazy shitty circuit boards... not a chance I'd even try.

Just get a super ego if the effects loop thing is important?

Not important so much as fun to think about... and the Superego won't fit on this particular board. Good to know, though.

Dang. Being in my mid 40s, I’m gonna hafta go to the drugstore and get some “readers” to see that shit.

Rad, let me know what you think. I bought the pedal, still trying to come to terms with it.

I killed 2 Freezes trying to add an internal feedback loop. (Freeze in a feedback loops sounds rad) On the plus side, EHX fixed them each time for a $25 flat repair fee.
