12 string bridge came, harvested the saddles. Had to drill 6 holes in the bottom lip of the MIM Tele plate to string the octave strings.
This is what happened:

But then this happened. It's not pretty but it works:

Looking killer man! Very excited to see the final outcome.
If those holes really bother you, down the line you could always take the plate to a metal work shop and have them fab one exactly the same with the new holes.
I can't see it costing more than $70 at the very most!

Haha at this point since they work I'm gonna just leave them. The string ends really hide the holes anyway so it's not gonna look that bad. Can't wait to just have it all together

should've used a center drill.
Are you using a hand drill?

Yes, I didn't use my drill press because I didn't want to have to try to figure out a way to stand the plate up vertically. I'm just happy it works at this point

if you have one of those small hobby drill presses maybe attach a vise to your work table?

It's a Black and Decker tabletop drill press. I haven't used it yet because I honestly haven't had the space to be able to set it up. I wish I did have the space. I'm hoping when we move in December I can set it up, it'll make things easier

Interesting!!!!

I bought the really light gauge strings that Ernie Ball has for 12 string guitars. It seemed like an OK amount of tension for me to pull off standard tuning, which I think I will start off with so I can use it in my band

I should have the pickguard on Monday. Then all I have to do is make the pilot holes, attach the neck pickup, ground the bridge (cause I forgot to do it earlier), and wire up the control plate and install it. Then it should be good to go!!!
