Creative or Crazy?

Postby JereFuzz » Sat Oct 05, 2019 10:31 am

So i've read that you can rapidly age your guitar from a sonic perspective by putting it in front of a stereo so it can absorb the sound waves to condition it. My guitar is getting hit with some sweet bjork waves! The idea is that great sounding old guitars have been essentially molded by years of playing.

This is more of a acoustic guitar thing. It does work. No idea about the effects of this on a solid body though...

With bolt ons, I just take the neck & body apart, and throw them in the dryer on low heat for a while.

In a similar vein,
Want a roasted maple neck? Just take that Squier neck down to the corner pizza place and order a pie. Ask them, "Hey you mind throwing this guitar neck in there with my pizza?" and spot them an extra fiver.
Voila!
