Also you should be able to lower the action, the nice thing about tune-o-mastic bridges is it's easy to mess with that, just keep track of how many turns you make and you can get it back if you don't like it.
I "feared" that this would be the best solution. But I don't want to ruin it... I know a guy who builds guitars, maybe I'll ask him for help.
I have the action as low as it gets without buzzing. The Fender Mustang went far lower. But it's not *strikingly* high, just a bit higher than my go-to "benchmark low action" guitar.
