I CAST REVIVE.

Really liking this tuning on bass. A variation of cello tuning: E-G-D-A.

Still really enjoying having my frankenstang (24") tuned CGCGAC. There's a bunch of really great, gazey chords in there!

Tune down your B-string to A. Keep everything else in standard.

F-A-G-D-A-D
Affectionately known as FAG DAD. It's gross and you'll love it.

Also NST (C-G-D-A-E-G)

I haven't gotten too crazy with tunings. I stay in Eb for the most part, but go to double drop Db for some stuff. I've also messed around with DADABE for some Pavement stuff but thats about it

My band has done this a few times. You can get some really great textures out of that tuning.

Dude, I remember playing with this tuning because of Muzzle by the pumpkins. I wrote like four songs in one day it was the best.

Can someone give me good droney tunings I can still play heavy shit in? I'm starting a project that is heavily influenced by post rock and drone, but also hardcore, so I want to be able to riff but still create massive textures and such. I'm not having a ton of luck in standard/half step down which i normally play in.

I'm pretty sure most people are going to recommend starting with Aen Standard - DADAAE
It sounds like:

(I actually have no idea if Aen is actually tuned to Aen standard here but I assume he is)

Also, DADGAD is very good at this too. But you probably already knew that.

Achtane, I absolutely love your guitars. Seriously though, what gauge is that string? It looks massive

I think it's .132, it used to be on the bowed part of my bassVI. They're all Chromes taken randomly from other guitars.
