I think it's just you. Looks to be totally different body construction. About the only thing they've got in common is they're both Fenders and they've got an F-hole.

I wasn't so much talking about construction - more of the general vibe of the guitar. Obviously, they're totally different in the sense of construction, but the sort of oddball, offset hollow body vibe is there.

Would look (& play) better with black pickup covers and a rosewood board.

No, not the vibe either. I knew what you meant. Starcasters've a very Gibson vibe to 'em. This one doesn't scream Fender trying to do Gibson to me.

the Mustang Special looks like it could be the sleeper of the group; i assume the switches are single/dual/series for each PU. i'll bet it SCREAMS plugged into a dirty amp. and the Jaguarillo looks downright dangerous.

How is the Mustang Special different from the one that's out already? Is it just the one new color?

I can't see spending pawn shop prices on the jaguarillo or mustang special when you could just get one of the coming squier offsets and mod the jank out of it.

The blue/red mustangs had enforcers under WRHB covers...sunburst looks the same, though I see no specific mention of the pickup model though.
Hopefully it's the same because those enforcers rock :animal:

The bass intrigues me. Their demo of it left a bit to be desired, but it's so ugly it comes back around, I think.

It is somewhat reminiscent of a Jet King, but to me it really looks a lot like a Thunderbird.

Honestly, none of these really excite me too much. :idk:

Looks like they have locking tremolos...if that says anything about the quality. That jaguarillo is cool...but i'm not a fan of strat pickups. If it had three jag pickups in there it would be pretty cool. Also it needs more switches. A jag ain't a jag without all those switches.

on the other hand...The mustang specials are great guitars.

if the specs on Anderton's are correct the Mustang Special is identical to the existing model except for color.
