I actually have Lollar Regals in my other guitar. I got the Curtis Novak cause I was interested in diversifying and also because Curtis was really nice and made them and got them to Australia in like 6 days, always good for a quick turnaround. There aren't really good videos online and I guess nobody seems to have both types cause it's a bit cost prohibitive and most people don't need two wrhb guitars

Comparing the two, the Lollars are a bit louder and clearer and not much difference in sound between neck and bridge. It's like very clean and chimey and a good rock sound, has like a Lollar sound compared to some of the other pickups I've tried from him it's nice and clear and ringing very cool. I definitely, for my application, prefer the Novaks. They're seem to take dirt better, the bridge pickup has this kind of harmonic thing going which sounds great for dirty playing up the neck. They sound like more old fashioned 70's for me and that's what I was looking for. Both are the best pickups I've ever had though for pedals. They never get dark and they don't hum. Get's the great single coil fuzz sound but doesn't lose bass or get shrill.

Thanks for the intel, Tom! That is great to know. I played a Nash Tele Deluxe with Lollar Regals in it a while back and really really enjoyed them. The differentiation between the neck and the bridge that you describe in the Novaks sounds great though. Cheers man.

Installed new neck pickups in two of my guitars over the weekend. Both Novak.

Les Paul - Curtis Novak HB-sized WRHB, Bareknuckle Warpig, C-standard. Went with Novak because he makes them in this size and I like the one in my Jazzmaster. Haven't tried Lollar or Creamery WRHBs.

Baritone Jazzmaster - Goldfoil, WRHB, both Novak. Need to fix the wiring on this one though because for some reason I decided to install it on 4/20

2000 MIM Strat. Locking tuners, brass tremolo block, Texas Special Pickups, all new wiring. The clear coat was stripped at some point. Exactly 7.5 lbs. Junky, but punchy and she gets the job done.

It's a 90s Aria II Pro; made in Korea. The guitar player from the Cure who isn't Robert Smith plays one. It's actually on permanent loan from a guy I play with, but I've had it for a while and I'm hoping to buy it and keep it. It plays and sounds great, and stays in tune really well for a Bigsby guitar. The bridge pickup is an Ibanez Super 58 from the 70s. Everything else is stock. It's great for everything from pop to doom.
